Holiday Inn Pensacola - University Area, an IHG Hotel

The rooms were immaculate, and the service was great. We had a problem with our lamp and immediately the lamp was replaced and our room was illuminated. Went to the bar and our bartender, Andrea, was AMAZING! I asked her to make me something she thought I’d enjoy and she made a strawberry Hennessy margarita…DELICIOUS! I then asked her about this shot I like called caramel salted balls. And, although she hadn’t made one, once I told her what was in it, she made it with a little twist and it was AMAZING as well. She was really sweet and made sure we enjoyed ourselves and were pleased. Andrea was phenomenal!! Will definitely be back.

Front desk was very helpful and cheerful. Restaurant was not so great I asked for well done got bloody in the middle and then I asked for a new plate because I'm allergic to the sauce that they had on the other plane and I got my pesto and tomatoes removed also I asked them to get that back they put it back double and so it was hardly edible at that point it was crispy from being charbroiled because I asked for well done and two salty to eat. My tips are usually a generous 50 to 100%, but this time I only gave 20%.

I left the hotel on January 23, I was in room 230. I went and asked the lady at the reception I had left a scent spray in my room and I couldn't find it. His attitude was terrible, he ran me out of the lobby and apart from that he discriminated against me, I am a transsexual woman. The only person who cared about me was Lissa, the lady who works serving breakfast in the morning. I do not recommend this hotel to members of the LGBTQ community. The attitude of the lady who was on duty at the reception on January 23 was horrible. After having no choice but to stay at a studio 6 for one night,Holiday inn feels like a five star resort. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Service staff was outstanding.

Our airline puts us up at some really nice hotels like J.W Mariott etc. I specifically bid this layover because of how nice every staff member at this hotel is. The service is superb and you are treated like royalty and everything is so clean. Rooms come with a fridge and microwave as well. Thank you to the breakfast staff and front desk for always hooking me up!
