Holiday Inn Tallahassee E Capitol - Univ, an IHG Hotel

I must admit I was sick when I was here so I stayed mostly in my room and to myself. I did go downstairs for the breakfast buffet which was sufficient, it mostly had the basics, but it was just what I needed. Hot items fruit toast, juice, and coffee and seating near Windows you can look out, this was during the snow in Tallahassee. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but because I was sick I rarely talked to them but they were still helpful. I do not remember any stairs which I was grateful for cuz I was very dizzy most of the time so I'm sure this hotel is wheelchair accessible.

Nice! Enjoyed my stay here. From the moment I walked in, the tastefully done fall decor and cleanliness caught my attention. The lobby is a decent size and is beautifully designed. There is a nice food market area, Café, seating area, and very modern breakfast room. The outdoor cabana seating area is pretty nice as well. I didn't get to walk down the long hall where it appeared to be conference rooms, but when I peeked down the hall, I was amazed at how big the area was. My room was VERY clean and very big. Which is the biggest plus of them all! Overall, I enjoyed my stay and I must say, I have never seen such a nice, clean, modern, and well kept Holiday Inn.. I was impressed! It must be new?! The customer service was very poor. The woman working the front desk was too busy trying to “school me” on how reservations work if you don’t confirm with the hotel by midnight not knowing I just drove 12+ hours from Virginia. The south just experienced rare snowfall and being that I am born and raised in Florida, it was traumatic driving that long distance with ice on the roads and being up for nearly 24 hours. She was acting as if she wasn’t going to let me in the room that I booked in advance. Another incident involved a woman who looked to be a manager. At 10am, an hour before check out, she knocked extremely aggressive on the door multiple times while pulling the handle just to ask if I needed towels or anything additional. I got in after 3am last night so I found that to be very rude & inconsiderate. I would not recommend staying here if you value customer service & consideration for you and your family. Other than the customer service, the room was clean & was a very nice size.

The only issue I had, and it didn't really affect my stay, was someone in a room close to me was smoking pot so it made the hallway stink but other than that, the room was great, the dinner and breakfast were both amazing. This will be my 1st choice for when I'm back that way. I'm a truck driver so it's nice to have a place to park my truck that I don't have to walk a good ways to get to the hotel.

Amazing service at the front desk. Kiva (might be spelled wrong) the lady working at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The process to check in was quick and easy, the rooms Are clean and spacious. We travel a lot for work, and we will continue to stay at this hotel every time we come to Tallahassee.
