Ate at Blue Gill Grill: Their food has improved dramatically in the last 8 years. They recently lowered their frozen drink prices from $17 to $13. That's a big plus. We love the Sidewinder potatoes and I don't think you can get a bad thing on the menu. I wish they were open all year.

It was a great family friendly place to getaway for a day. Kids loved being out on the water and the view was nice.

The food and restaurant atmosphere was very good. Waitress was very sweet. We came for a bachelorette get away and rented a boat from here this was a disaster. No help at all on docks basically man walked us to boat didn’t provide a mad or any instructions. Boat was old and run down not to mention they sent a group of women on a boat that didn’t even make it out of the cove when we returned to get “their backup boat” an hour later because that’s how long it took us because boat would not run right, again no help at docks…my daughter went inside to get some help to which boat we was suppose to be getting. The little worker came out and made comment he was surprised we made it as far as we did in the previous boat and saying boat #4 motor had issues. So point is they knew they was sending a bunch of women out on a boat that didn’t work. Boat #2 ran better but would not recommend it either. We paid for full day and actually after boating issue had 4 hours on boat. After returning the boat and still no help, no dock workers in sight we left boat at dock. This morning I was charged another $173 to my debit card. I’m guess for fuel and maybe a late return since we left boat and left. Never again will be rent from here. Positive note the band at restaurant was amazing and very good drinks as well as food and restaurant staff.

The pontoon we rented had mold on most of the seats. Luckily we brought blankets to sit on. The propeller was slipping when we went over 10 mph. We told staff about it when we returned and he just smiled and said yeah. We made the most of it but for the money go somewhere else.

The grill has an awesome location, great food and lots of it.
