I experienced plenty of price gouging here. Said it was $35 to move your rv from a winter spot to a summer one but I was charged an extra $40 for a total of $75. I asked what was the $40 for and I was told it was a “getting ready to move fee”. I did all the prep to get ready to move so that was a stolen $40 that they ripped me off of. I guess Russ needed the cash. Then I was charged for an extension power cord because my rv was put into the slip away from the side of the power receptacle, so he charged me another $65 for a cord I wouldn’t have needed if he had put my rv in the slip the right way! They pile people on top of each other, constant pressure about their “events”. Russ has an “attitude”. Further, while having a 30 day or longer stay requirement which is more residential camping and less recreational their curfew is 11:00 pm. I don’t know about others but I lived there for 14 months. Im not retired I work and found that late when you NEED to get rest, and the drunk next to me who began drinking at 11:00 am, played “A Boy Named Sue” over and over and over didn’t work and kept me up. The curfew should be 9:00. This place wants to be residential with their old rules in place for recreational camping. Not sure what they are but they’re combative, nasty and condescending. Not for me.
This has been one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. Owners are friendly and attentive. It’s so quiet and peaceful! They are always taking care of things to keep it nice and cleaned up. I would recommend to anyone looking for a longer term- chill place to stay. Also, Kid- friendly :)
Awesome place to camp and stay awhile. The owners are very friendly and helpful if something does go wrong. Witch we have been here since February cause of my wife’s job and haven’t seen anything out of the ordinary. It’s like staying in a state park Yes I read a lot of reviews saying roads are bad but all city state and federal roads are bad . With kids playing people do need to slow down and the visitors here understand that. Anyways we’ll be here till august. Really going to miss this place and the friends we have met
The owners were very nice and helpful. The campground however has absolutely nothing to do on it . Old swing equipment, tennis court and a green pool. The bugs and sand throughout the camp ground was a little hard to deal with . Some other campers had ants in there camper as well as other bugs. I left 12 days early and received no money back and also was charged more for electric cost . Out of 12 days of money 100 dollar key deposit I got 38 bucks back. The worst thing of all is the horrible smelling water . I was told it was my camper that was 1 month old and not there lines or pipes. After talking to almost everyone at the park we all had the same smelling rotten egg water bad. Guess all Of our lines went bad at the same time . Other than that great.
Wayyy too many rules like others were saying, I find it cute they have a recycling program but require your RV to be no less than 15 years old so it isnt an "eye sore" to your neighbors (guess I gotta throw my 07 in a landfill). On top of that stinky water and not very aesthetic 🤷🏼 I've been to alot of campgrounds this year and I can confidently say this ain't one I'm going back to.
