I don't know if I would truly call it a resort it's more like a campground trailer Hood Overnight camping is next to the open cesspool.. that stinks beyond any safe health. Water on site is very hard and you better have filtration because it's undrinkable. I would be surprised to see this place sold soon again
This is actually a trailer park with permanent trailers and RVs. Most of the residents are Michigan State and Michigan alumni that are retired. The spaces are a little cramped between trailers because most of the people are packed in pretty tight, but overall it's a very nice park and very well-kept.
Pictures don’t do this justice. We stayed at this resort in our class A for two months. The park is peaceful yet fun at the same time. The park model owners take pride in the upkeep and landscaping of their properties. There are activities for all ages; corn hole, pickleball, tennis, cards, crafts, fishing and so much more. Best of all, the people who live here made this a heartwarming and cherished summer for us. Thanks for the memories❤️
This RV resort was a perfect get away for my husband, son, and me! While most of this resort is dedicated to seasonal/quasi-permanent park models, there are spaces for overnight and weekend campers. There are no communal facilities, as all campers are expected to be self-contained (no tents allowed). The sites are roomy, most of them have concrete pads and a nice fire ring that is away from the road. On our walks, we encountered friendliness from other campers and residents that we haven't really experienced at any other campground in which we've stayed. :) There are walking trails and it is adjacent to a golf course; although it doesn't have "theme weekends", there truly is a lot to do! Many residents have golf carts, but they are not a disturbance. In fact, true to its word, campers were quiet at 10PM, if not before then, and stayed such until at least 8AM. We've enjoyed the resort so much that we have begun looking at sites that are for sale so we could have our own seasonal!
RV pull through sites are great. Staff are friendly and helpful. I loved the camp store and snack bar. There is so much to do. The only critique would be that golf cart prices are high. You need a golf cart to get around as it is a big park. Also, playground equipment is dated and uninviting throughout the park. This surprised me as the park seems well run. The small pool area was fun for the kids, but needs a little updating as well. I was surprised there is only one pool area on site with as big as the RV park is.
We really love the staff, They make you feel like family.Sabrina, and Jamie,Go out of their way to make sure your happy. Its beautiful here, award winning nine hole golf course, beach, fishing, live bands, and a lot more activities.Sabrina gives you a wonderful tour of Holiday Shores. Its because of her we paid for the entire season.Dont waste your time looking at other places like we did.
Horrible place to stay, even if you are a seasonal camper they will want 10% of your rv selling price if you ever sell your rv. Just for it being in their park once. Avoid at all costs. We will not be returning, nor giving 10% of our rv sale price to ANY rv park
Could use more amenities, like public Wi-Fi and laundry. The staff I interacted with were super nice. We heard some folks complaining about the new owners; I guess time will tell. Update: Seasonal rates went up $200.00. I've been here a little while now, met more people, and I heard more complaints about the owners. Purchased my own Wi-Fi. (Not something you normally need to do at a "Resort.") Update: Seasonal rates went up an additional $250.00 (that's $450.00 increase in two seasons) and still zero improvements to the existing "resort." Update 2: Staff is still super nice. If you have an issue, they make an effort to fix it. Beach has been updated. Heard a lot of complaints about bad smells this season. Don't know about price increases yet. Update 3: Price went up $500.00 this year. I'm not sure where all the money is going, but it's not back into the "resort." I'm down to 2 stars now. Greedy owners. Update 4: Price went up yet another $500.00. That's $1,450.00 increase since we started going here. They're pricing themselves out of business. Update 5: New owners. Price went up another $500.00, and the new rule book is very HOA like; there are even fines for doing something against the rules. Many people are leaving this year.
