Customer Reviews
One of the many campsites available at Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area, within the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. The state park is only open to highway-legal vehicles but they have dedicated approximately 85,000 acres for OHVs. The campground has pay showers, toilets, picnic tables, shade ramadas, and fire rings, but no drinking water, RV hookups, or dump station. Camp sites are free, generally within close promixity of each other, and available on a first-come first-served basis. There are about 25 or so designated camping spots here; Open camping is permitted up to 30 days per year. This campsite is like living in Mad Max - fun, loud, and dusty. People drive around on their toys all day and all night, and fireworks are a common occurrence. Definitely not the place for you if you enjoy peace and quiet, or if you're a light sleeper!
Beautiful area. Decent restrooms. Hot coin operated showers. Great Off-road park!
Good place to camp with shade structures etc, can get crowded on buddy weekends. Luv2Camp can deliver and set up trailers here for you.
Can be crowded on weekends.
Running water and restrooms are always a plus. With shaded picnic area.
