Our landscape, dotted with thousands of freshwater bodies, offers endless opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, and simply relaxing by the water. When seeking a camping experience that blends the tranquility of a lakeside retreat with a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere, finding the perfect spot can make all the difference. Wisconsin’s camping scene is as diverse as its geography. From the bustling shores of Lake Michigan to the serene Northwoods, campers can find everything from expansive RV parks with all the amenities to secluded, primitive sites. What truly sets a campground apart for local users often comes down to its ability to offer a genuine sense of peace and quiet, combined with convenient access to recreational activities. Holt Park Campground fits this description perfectly. Reviews consistently highlight its "small and very quiet" nature, making it a stark contrast to larger, more crowded destinations. Its location on Kelly Lake, a 367-acre lake known for its very clear water and diverse fish population, further enhances its appeal. While the lake can become active with watersports during certain hours, the campground itself maintains its serene charm, making it an excellent choice for Wisconsinites seeking a tranquil lakeside retreat with opportunities for both relaxation and aquatic fun.

I wish we had found this little gem when our kids were young! Small and quaint with lots of seasonal campers and a handful of overnights. While most of the overnight sites are lakeside, actually getting to the lake isn't the easiest. It requires a walk down a hill and through pine trees. The area and lake is beautiful and the campground is small and very quiet. The lake is no wake from 6pm to 10 am. At 10:01 am the jetskis, tubers and water skiers come out from everywhere and the lake is super busy all day. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to kayak around the lake. We'll likely be back!
Nice spot to park and access lake. Careful on the stairs if there is snow.
Quiet. Clean. Small. Family and pet friendly. Beautiful clean lake.
Clean bathrooms hot showers pet family friendly fish cleaning house. Very well managed
My family has spent a few weekends camping in Holt Park and we love it! The people are friendly, the bathrooms are clean and well stocked and the beach is perfect for our family. One of the seasonal families even took my kids out on a tube ride! Someone also organized a movie night for the kids. Mary (the park manager) is readily available, helpful and professional. The local restaurants are great and the entire town is really friendly. This is a great place to get away to and you're still within a short drive to town. We look forward to visiting in the fall as well!
