Home Afarm is located at 705 Rankin Rd, Seaman, OH 45679, USA, situated within the picturesque Adams County in southern Ohio. This address places it deeply within a rural, tranquil setting, enveloped by the natural beauty of the Appalachian foothills and the Tranquility Wilderness Area. For Ohio locals, this location offers a true escape from urban and suburban environments, providing an opportunity to immerse oneself in unspoiled nature.
Accessibility to Home Afarm is part of its primitive charm. Visitors should be aware that the approach involves a "long driveway/road that starts bumpy but eventually disappears to gravel." This road may narrow and become surrounded by thicker trees, leading to a truly secluded feel. While some might find the initial approach a bit "spooky" due to overgrown cars and dilapidated buildings mentioned in reviews, this is indicative of its rustic, off-grid nature. It's essential to understand that you'll be entering a working farm environment, not a manicured campground entrance. The location is described as being "in front of somebody’s house," which further emphasizes the personal, farm-stay aspect of the property.
Despite its primitive access, Home Afarm is within a reasonable driving distance of various attractions in southern Ohio, including the Serpent Mound, Peebles, and Amish country, offering opportunities for day trips if you choose to venture out. However, for the most part, the journey to Home Afarm sets the tone for a truly secluded and authentic rustic experience, requiring visitors to embrace its unique approach to "off-the-beaten-path" accessibility.
Home Afarm distinguishes itself by offering a very primitive and unique set of services, focusing on a back-to-basics approach to camping. This is not a conventional campground with modern hookups or extensive facilities. Instead, it provides a rustic and authentic experience, as highlighted by customer reviews.

Customer Reviews
Very cool but very primitive. People are naturist, water from 1,000 year old cistern, fresh eggs available, swimming hole, outdoor shower(only), outhouse. Enjoyed it.
We didn’t stay, it could be nice but we didn’t want to chance it (some weird vibes). It was just outside of a tiny, tiny town. It is a long driveway/road that starts bumpy but eventually disappears to gravel. The trees also got much thicker and road narrowed and there were multiple dilapidated buildings and overgrown cars in the trees. We passed a cemetery and “Tranquility Tabernacle” and it was getting darker outside and it was a little spooky. Especially, when you get to the end of the gravel road and you’re in front of somebody’s house and don’t see any camping. Again, not sure, but it almost seemed like somebody was just renting out their front lawn and a side cabin.
Friendly people, beautiful nature, couldn't ask for a better rustic getaway.
Gorgeous property, can see the sky really well on a clear night. Cool hosts with a cool dog
