Clean, functional, and well-appointed rooms. The gym is great and the outdoor pool looked very nice. The beach is only about 1/8th mile away, and so is the Back Porch restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful and the whole hotel was just nice. 24-hour coffee/tea bar like any good Hilton product. The light to turn left onto US-98 is ungodly slow, pack some patience for that one.
Big 1 bedroom unit. Only would of liked to have a stove/oven. But front desk and management were very helpful with a problem we had. We appreciate that. Would definitely stay here again
It’s a good location on the beach side: 300-feet walk to the beach, you don’t have to drive there. It’s clean and good services: there might not be everything there, be it paper towel, dishwasher detergent…but when you ask, staffs were happy to make it up to you! The only thing I like to see to improve: the free breakfast: change them every other day, rather the same waffles, same hot oatmeal, breads/bagels and stuffed egg sandwiches… no yogurt. (The worker often stayed behind in the back, not realizes everything was running low.) But there’re often fresh blueberries!
Great pool! The location is nice considering how far you usually have to walk when staying somewhere NOT directly on the beach. The walk is not that bad. The service was poor. The towel rack at the pool was empty for our entire 5 day stay. They never had clean washcloths the whole time (They gave us hand towels to use instead). The food at breakfast always ran out and was not replenished even when it was well before 10:00 when breakfast ends. Our room was only serviced once. Considering that the pool was the only part of our stay that we loved, I’m not sure we would stay here again.
Anyone who says this isn’t 5 stars for the price is a Karen. Staff absolutely wonderful, location 10/10 and the rooms are super homey. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Destine for work!
