Easy to book, stay, and checkout! Clean and accommodating community. Excellent staff - the GM was very kind and helpful. Game room a fun touch. Would absolutely camp here again. 100%.
I would give zero stars if possible. I had this upcoming weekend booked with another couple staying on a site beside us. We had this trip planned for months. Our friends called this morning to confirm their site and were told that the website timed out and the reservation never fully booked. so I had called with intentions on trying to find a resolution and spoke with Janet. Janet had a smug attitude the entire time and provided zero effort and trying to find a solution to still allow our trip to happen. I informed her that I thought she was not being pleasant , and she told me that she would have a manager call me and hung up. my friend who had not spoken to Janet or the campground called to try and find a resolution without arguing And Janet hung up on him, claiming that she was not gonna talk to him, and that the manager was going to be calling us. The manager just called me, told me that we would be fully refunded and said that I will not be at the campground and I will not speak to his employees that way. he never heard my side of the story. He never heard what I actually said, which was simply that she had an attitude but instead just hung up. My number was blocked so I can’t call the offer my side of the story or any information. We’ve stayed here so many times, and have brought new people to that campground which this trip was intended to do yet again And no employee there of concern about our issue. I would not recommend this campground, but it has few amenities. The prices aren’t worth what they have. Especially if their employees conduct business this way.
We just ended our first ever camping trip as a family of 4 at Homestead Campground. We found this place on recommendation of a good friend who stays there as well. We loved it! Everything about this campground was perfect. The staff were super friendly, the area was peaceful and the sites were great. We loved the splash pad for our kiddos on a super hot day. My husband and I hung out in a shaded are under a tree where we could easily keep and eye on the kids. They also have two pools(we didn’t get to them) Everyone that we came in contact with were kind and welcoming. It was a great distance from the beach (Lewes beach about 20ish min). There is a dollar general right up the street too which was really nice when we needed something if the store wasn’t open. We got daily texts about fun events going on or activities at the campground. I would definitely recommend and will definitely go back!
...thank you homestead, we were the entertainment last night and we can't wait to come back...great people, great food, great vibes...
Beautiful park. Very well maintained. Two pools and two dog parks. Lots of green space. It has the largest RV sites we have seen, and we have been all over the U.S and parts of Canada. Staff was friendly and helpful. Talking to some of the people who own their sites, they said the management keeps everything looking great and we can say on our visit they sure do. Although we were only there overnight, we would definitely stay here again and longer. You are just a short drive to the beach and you can catch the ferry to Cape Maria. If you have a long rig with a tow, just be careful departing, we had about 12" to spare from a pole on one turn getting out of park. Other than that all was good.
