I had doubts because of some bad comments that I read, but luckily I didn't pay attention to them 😉; We registered, the lady at the office was very kind, the place is beautiful, we didn't want to leave there❤️, the other workers were kind too, the people who camped were friendly. Just a small detail that we were able to overcome, one of the mattresses was dirty and we settled in the other beds. We rented a deluxe cabin (I wouldn't allow anything to ruin my daughters' vacation). When we finished our days of stay, the lady at the office very kindly asked us how everything had been and I told her what happened (it was my mistake for not having mentioned it before), she apologized for what happened and said that she would fix it. I can say that I recommend the place 👍
Great location, the staff were excellent. We had plenty to do on the KOA even though it was late in the season. The store was adequately stocked and loved the popcorn you get at check in. We will definitely return in the spring.
The KOA is a Campground. The amenities are wonderful; pool, tubby slide, gem mining station, wagon ride, jump pad and mini golf. Unfortunately there were a number of negatives, enough to out weigh the number the good, we will not be back to this campground and probably not to any other KOA’s. There are way too many rules and restrictions the Sufi was non-existent, prices are too high; we can’t justify the price with no wifi (some visitors must check in with their place of business). No tents allowed on our travel trailer site (for our grandson); We were asked, what if a $500k motor home pulls in and doesn’t like the looks of a tent next to them??? They also suggested that the tent stakes could hurt their water and electrical lines!) Can’t plug in our small electric vehicle (we received a text that said, “it was reported at you have an electric car plugged in at your site, please unplug the vehicle). You can’t take alcohol off of your camp site; no beer in a coozie while watching your child or grandchild on the jump pad or slide. Lastly, we had the overwhelming feeling that we were being watched at all times. It was not a relaxing weekend.
This was our second KOA of our trip, so maybe we are just comparing to Harrisonburg VA KOA but, it was after hours and they did send us a code so thankful for that but the spot they put us in was not rooftop tent friendly or level. We were next to the dumpster. The bathroom was amazingly clean so we appreciated that.
This was the last stop of our 4-week trip. Campground is described as "Beautiful patio pull-thru sites have all the comforts of home" No sites were mowed or weed wacked, grass was high and weeds all over. The internet is weak and constantly cuts out. "Beautiful" is not how I would describe this campground. Run down is a better description. To have spent over $500.00 to be there, shame on you!
We have a cabin here. We all love it. The owners are great!
