Honeymoon Bay Group Camp Site Introduce

Welcome to Honeymoon Bay Group Camp Site, a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, located on Columbia Valley Rd, Cultus Lake, BC V2R 0E1, Canada. For inquiries, please contact them at (604) 986-9371 or via mobile at +1 604-986-9371.

Honeymoon Bay Group Camp Site offers a very nice setup specifically designed for group camping. The site features a separate parking area from the tent camping zone, which includes approximately 11 designated pads for tents. For restroom facilities, there is a shared washroom with flush toilets and showers available for the two group sites in the vicinity, as well as a pit toilet located further down for other campsites. A significant highlight of this location is its under-covered picnic area, providing a sheltered space for group meals and activities. Additionally, the campsite boasts its own "private" section of Cultus Lake, offering exclusive waterfront access for your group.

It is important to note that the parking area is situated quite a distance from the tent pads, requiring campers to carry their gear down to the campsite. While the campsite itself is well-laid out and appealing, potential drawbacks include its proximity to the road, which may result in nighttime noise. Furthermore, the shared access to Cultus Lake means that local boaters may begin using the lake early in the morning, sometimes as early as 6 am. While some early morning lake activity like fishing or water skiing at a reasonable volume is understandable, some boaters have been reported to play loud, explicit music, which can be disruptive and is difficult to address due to a lack of recourse.

Despite these noise-related issues stemming from the road and inconsiderate lake users, many find Honeymoon Bay Group Camp Site to be a wonderful spot for group camping. It offers plenty of green space, the valuable amenity of a private waterfront area, and the convenience of a sheltered eating space. The provision of plotted tent spots is also appreciated by visitors. The presence of a lakeside fire pit is another potential feature, although fire bans may be in effect at certain times.

For local users in Taiwan planning a group camping trip to the Cultus Lake region of British Columbia, Canada, Honeymoon Bay Group Camp Site offers a well-equipped location with a private lake access and a covered picnic area, ideal for larger parties. However, be aware of potential noise from the nearby road and the possibility of early morning noise from lake activities. Despite these potential drawbacks, the campsite itself is considered very nice and well-suited for group gatherings seeking a lakeside experience.

The campsite itself is very nice. It has a separate parking area and each site has about 11 pads for tents to be set up on. There is a restroom with flush toilets and showers that is shared between the two group sites. There is also a pit toilet for the campsites that are a bit further down the way. The best thing about the site is it has an under covered picnic area and its own "private" section of the lake. You should note that the parking area and the pads where the tents are meant to be set up are quite far apart. So you'll need to carry your gear down from the parking area. Hopefully this is enough of a description so that you don't have to deal with a group of people disturbing you and walking into the campsite to scout the space and taking pictures of you and the kids and would only leave when asked twice...all because they booked it the following week. The reasons why this place is given only 3 stars is that it's by the road so it can be noisy at night. The worst part is that the lake is used by local boaters as early as 6am. It's not the people fishing nor the people deciding to go water skiing at 630am. That I can understand. The biggest issue is the people that go water skiing first thing in the morning and decide it is okay to play music so loud it can be heard from any part of the lake. Explicit music as well. There's nothing that can be done about it because there is no recourse Outside of these incredibly inconsiderate people, the campground is nice.

Wonderful spot for group camping. Plenty of green space, your own private waterfront and sheltered eating area. Too bad for the fire ban otherwise the lakeside fire pit would have been amazing. The plotted tented spots is a nice touch.

Don't ever book honeymoon bay! Its haunted! My friends got scared to death after some sightings and spooky things that happened. Things have happened to other families too and they cut their stay short and ran out of there! 😱😱💀
