We had actually only planned Hope Bay as a stopover on our RV trip from Huntsville to Niagara Falls. The campground and bay turned out to be one of the most beautiful places on our round trip. Apparently, most campers stay here for a long time. There are few places for short stays. Overall, this gives the site a clean impression. It is only a two-minute walk from the pitches to the sandy beach, where a few sun loungers are available free of charge for campground guests. All other items (kayaks, stand-up boards etc.) must be hired (20 C$/h). There is a small store at the reception with the most necessary things. The people there are very friendly and service-oriented. You should definitely take the section of the Bruce Trail that winds through the forest on the left side of the bay up to the cliffs to a viewpoint. Mystical rocks, Stone Age rock relics and, of course, the view over the turquoise water are worth the three-hour hike (there and back).

The staffs at the site were super nice. I lost my cell phone in the water while canoeing and couldn’t find it after searching for an hour under water. Miraculously, the staff texted me a week later that the phone was recovered. Julie went out of her way and returned the phone to me. I can’t say enough words to appreciate their Samaritan acts and really went out of their ways to help the others.

Not far from Toronto. Good location on the shore of the bay. Kayaks and canoes were available for rent. Easy access to Bruce trail. Different types of sites available from tent ⛺ to full service. Well maintained. Host lady is incredibly helpful: she was satisfying all our needs right away. Thank you very much! 🙏 I'd definitely stay here again and recommend this nice campground to everyone, who loves hiking and water activities.

The cabin was clean and well stocked. The owners were quick to reply to questions by text. The location is great for swimming if you have kids because the beach is sandy and shallow. Close drive to many of the Bruce Trail access points.

We stayed for 4 nights over thanksgiving weekend (my mom, myself and my toddler) There was no one in the office all weekend although the owner was available by phone. She was friendly when she drove by our site It is a very nice location close to the Bruce trail and just across the road is a small beach and beautiful view The only amenities available when we were there were the showers, laundry and outdoor seating area by the office. The showers were full of cobwebs and the floor was quite dirty, it clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. The automatic lights in the bathroom kept going out during my shower lol We had a full service site. The campground was quiet other than a tractor moving around some stuff that kept driving past our site
