We had a great time exactly what we were looking for. Off of the beaten path, off grid, and great views! The owner came and checked in every day which was great. Easily passable access. We are in a van and pop up camper. Enjoy!!!
Our stay was excellent. The camp hosts are super friendly and informative. It was well worth staying here just so we didn't have to drag our trailer down the very rough road to Chaco canyon. Great stay!!!
Immediately a favorite campground. So beautiful, with low light to camp under the stars. This is a dry campground with no running water. The ground is within the fence, so it can be difficult to stake a tent, but you're also allowed to camp outside of the fence within the area. There were two other campers here and we barely noticed their presence. The owners were sweet and checked up to see if we needed anything.
This campground is dog friendly and clean. The owners were super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The campground itself is super open and you can choose whether to camp within the gated part or outside of it. The porta potty was clean and even had a light in it. We had a very nice view of the stars when we went.
We spent 3 nights here pretty much with no one else. Sunsets and sunrises were spectacular! It's only 14 miles to Chaco and the roads not too bad. Wayne, the host, came by to check and make sure everything was OK. Made us feel very welcome. Yolanda was super helpful on the phone. It is dry camping so no fire rings. But we had a rock ring that was there. The only one. Great camp spot! Am looking forward to returning.
