Customer Reviews
To enter the parking lot and walk to the viewpoint, one first pays $10. The walk down to the horseshoe bend and back is 1.5 miles round trip. It is stunning and breathtaking. I went during late January, at a cold point in winter, so a thick sweater, a hat, and gloves are a good idea. I arrived at about 1pm, and there was light cloud coverage, so some colors were not so vibrant.
I had the pleasure of visiting this stunning trail in mid-December, and it was an ideal time for a hike. The weather was perfectly balanced—not too hot or too cold—so a light jacket was all I needed. The trail itself is approximately 1.5 miles round trip and relatively easy, making it accessible for most visitors. There is a $10 parking fee, so be sure to plan accordingly. To avoid the crowds that can gather in certain areas, I recommend starting your hike early in the morning or closer to sunset. These times not only offer a quieter experience but also provide breathtaking views in softer lighting. The highlight of the trail is undoubtedly the outlook—it’s absolutely breathtaking. From there, you’ll enjoy incredible views of the Colorado River and Glen Canyon. It’s an unforgettable sight that makes the hike well worth it!
This is where the Colorado river bends. It is close to antelope canyon. Our antelope canyon tour guide told us to go at sunset. There is adequate parking at least in February. Amazing views.
They do not accept the national park passes, 4th grade pass, america, the beautiful pass, etc. Visited 2/2025 entrance fee for a regular car is $10. It's quite a walk to get there and also a long drive but well worth it. Those with fear of heights may get queasy. It's best to get great shots on top of boulders on either side of the railings.
Been up top a few times. Took a nice trip down to the bottom abs kayaked the Colorado on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Guide took us to the destination point for our journey to continue back to the dock on our kayaks. Mother nature was showing off her canvas at every turn, from every angle you find yourself immersed in life's majestic forms and perfect history that paints the beauty it presents. That is how I feel about that :) 100 percent recommend and will return again!
