Stars are so bright you could almost touch them! Private and not crowded. Clean lake was refreshing to swim in. The road is ruff but remember that they wouldn't open it if it was passable!!

It's a rough road, there isn't any shade, or much left of anything.

I always drive past it because it has been crowded with people every time I have ever been there. I'm not sure if it catches the overflow campers when Olallie Lake is too busy, or if it's a primary destination for so many. Pretty lake, for certain. It's got to be popular, for so many to drive that section of road to get there. It gets much rougher further up the road to the south. :)

Great place to go regardless of the time of year. Be prepared though around November/December through May normally gets a fair amount of snow. These pictures were from Memorial 2018 and enough snow that made some area's treacherous but was doable for the entire Olallie Lake Loop. Between Olallie Lake Resort & Breitenbush Lake the road is fairly rough and not taken care of. No Swimming in any of the lakes up here.

There are alot of puddles when it's wet here. Beautiful small campground. The road is very rough to get from ollalie lake to horse shoe Lake and even worse coming from breitenbush Lake. Plan on using 4low and not going faster then 5mph.
