Bears, and noisy ones are in the area so have that bear spray handy and keep an eye out. The road to and into the campground are extremely rough and a high clearance vehicle is needed. Mosquitos were thick but at a mountain lake that is to be expected so stock up on bug repellent. Maybe a good spot to visit when temps are below freezing at night so the mosquitos are not as bad. Restroom was a vault toilet but on this visit was clean but not stocked.

Great off the beaten path camping, picnic tables, bathrooms, great views, wildlife. Great spots next to the lake, mosquitos were not an issue at all. Con.. lots of ants when we were there. Road down to the lake was a little washed out, quite a few ruts, but passable easily in our jeeps. Very quiet and relaxing.

Great hiking and boating. Campground is small with few level spots for parking.

Beautiful, but the fish were not biting. Rough roads getting in, camp bathroom was disgusting.
