Really disappointed with the equestrian camp. The area is beautiful, but the horse camp has fallen into disrepair. The price has more than doubled, none of the stalls are in good shape, very little of the equipment (feeders and water buckets) is functional, some of the water spickets don't work, and, despite all the signage, the rule that the campground is for equestrians only is not enforced. I was there two years ago and had a perfect experience. It's sad the forest service has hiked the price without any efforts to maintain it, despite how beautiful the area is.
Take my horse up here in the reg. It's beautiful.
Fantastic area to hike and camp.
