With everywhere else being so expensive, $21 a day seems very reasonable. This is BLM land way out in the middle of nowhere. Bike trails all over. I liked the proximity to Dead Horse State Park and Canyon Lands NP. Not too far from Arches NP and Moab. Pads are level, place is well kept. Vault toilets only. There are spots for fifth wheels and large travel trailers - however, there aren't many. If the place is busy, you may have to get creative if parking a long rig. Might have to move a picnic table. The stars at night are spectacular.
Be very careful and do not leave anything in your tent- all our gear, clothes, sleeping bags- winter coats/pants everything was taken out of the tent while we were hiking on Jan 17,2025 Airtag pinged in house in Moab...
We were there first week of May. Sites filled up on the weekend. Most sites are spread far enough apart for privacy. Bathrooms spotless! The only downside was garbage management. One large container for the entire campground. Filled up instantly. Stupid people just left their garbage on the ground and platform when they were unable to fit it in the container. We took our garbage with us. Then, there are the stupid people who don't understand putting the lid down in the vault toilet controls odors and flies.
Plenty of flat spots in Group Site C, enough for at least 5 tents. Great views and shade under the pavilion, but no trees for hammock campers. The site location is pretty quiet with no busy roads nearby and no light pollution so the stars are incredibly easy to see on clear nights. The bathrooms (2 toilets, shared with another group site) were also very clean and had toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Many of our group had cell service at the site. While it was only a few bars and spotty at times it was enough to call other members of the group, if needed.
Absolutely gorgeous BLM campground with beautiful views and close proximity to Dead Horse Point State Park and Canyonlands National Park! The campground is very well maintained with fairly private sites containing nice picnic tables and fire rings. The sites are on a first come, first served basis so get there early. There are several trails for Mountain Biking and walking. We were only there for two nights, but we would have stayed longer if time allowed! Would come back here in a minute if we are ever in the area.
Right at the middle between Arches and Canyons land national parks. First come first served. Five days of my home when I visited Moab. Clean vault toilets and spacious lots for privacy. Close to Horse Thief State Park and tons of mtb routes. Proximity to Mesa Arch allowed me take a perfect photo of magnificent sunrise underneath the arch.
It's a good place to Basecamp if you're gonna explore the National Park. Amenities include vault toilets and a picnic table. That's about it!
Sites were nicely spaced out. The campground was clean and well maintained. The campground host was excellent. She stopped by to welcome me to the campground and highlight the rules. Her efforts were effective! Campers shut their generators down before quiet hours. Pets were all under control. Beautiful sunsets, quiet, respectful campers and short drive to amazing scenery.
