We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Indigo! The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was well-maintained and spotless, and the bathroom was truly exceptional. We especially appreciated the strong water pressure in the shower - a refreshing change from other hotels! The valet staff deserve a special mention for their prompt and courteous service. We retrieved our car several times throughout our stay and they were always quick and efficient. While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The walls seemed a bit thin, allowing us to hear some noise from our upstairs neighbors and the live band playing in the bar. Also, the TV channel surfing was a bit sluggish. Some other reviews mention the lighting, which I agree with, it can be dark at times. Overall, however, these were minor inconveniences in an otherwise fantastic stay. We would definitely recommend Hotel Indigo for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish hotel in Traverse City.
My wife and I did a site visit for this place. After agreeing on everything. This place went back on thier word and moved rooms around, raised rates, and just were not honest in thier dealings. I/ we will never go to this location. FOLLOW UP TO MY POST Since the owner of this establishment has reach out to me to try and twist me remarks around. I feel I need to edit some of my post. First I was a actually real guess here. Second of all the contract that my wife's company was supposed to be upheld till the 7th of this month. And this hotel changed most of the Bayside rooms with the wear house side rooms. And then upcharged all the rooms. Hotel Indigo is in the wrong. Even the people at the Traverse City tourist bureau, where not happy, with how things at Hotel Indigo happened. And last I don't see any wrong in going to a site visit with my wife, I have no idea how this would not be unacceptable. All the other place I have gone to where happy I was there.
The hotel is in a great location. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants. You are not forced to use the valet parking (as others mentioned). You can park 4 blocks away on the street and it is free. We did it the whole time and never was an issue. We don't mind walking, we like the exercise. I do think the hotel should add 15 dollars to the nightly fee and call it free valet. It just makes the pain of having to pay to park seem less. It is all about how they choose to market it. You can park elsewhere.
Beds aren't the most comfy unless you like a hard bed. Would prefer to have an area to park that's Not in the parking garage which valet takes your vehicle to. Very modern hotel just needed to build it where they would've had more property.
Having your room view the bay is the only redeemable quality. We won’t be staying here again. The rooms felt cheap - showers not level so they don’t drain and have puddles in the morning, tv has 8 local channels and half are in another language, the AC sounded like rocks being tumbled so we had to turn it off. We were on the 3rd floor but could hear the constant music from the rooftop bar from 12-12 anytime we had to come back to the room. There is no available parking other than a handful of valet, and we were told the hotel does not validate from any of the lots nearby. It is convenient to walk to downtown to restaurants, shops or the beach. That was nice.
