4 or 5 good sized camping spots here. Vault toilets at the end of the road and a water pump in the next to last camping spot (water isn't great, but it's cold and drinkable). Beautiful area. We really enjoyed our stay here!

The campground is nice. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring (although I couldn't locate a fire ring in one site) and there are outhouses. Unfortunately, free camping seems to translate to a place to party and act stupid into all hours of the night. This is not great for people like me who wanted a quiet place to relax. If you see multiple cars in a site and you're not wanting to be kept up all night by drunken morons, then you may want to invest in a site at a nearby campground instead.

It's free and near to the Buckhorn Lodge. If you don't like a little litter, then pack out what was left and quit whining. 😕 It's a Great Spot

Great lakeside sites, only 4 or so marked dispersed, free with fire ring and picnic table.

Free with 4 sites total, there is a fork once you pull in; one smaller site to the left and 3 larger sites to the right. The road to the right has a loop at the end by the vault toilets. Do not attempt to take anything larger than about 26-28 feet and definitely not suitable for any length 5th wheels or motorhomes due to low hanging branches! We brought a 24 foot low height travel trailer and were fine but I could see a 30 foot long trailer and/or anything taller than 10 feet having issues! ORVs are allowed to come in and out at the campground which is rarity in the National Forest system. If this campground is full, there are 3 more free sites available about 1/2 mile further south down the road, turn in where large “Oakwood Trails” sign is and keep right at the fork, you’ll find 3 Equestrian camping sites on your right hand side with a unisex vault toilet as well. The road into these sites is tight but can make do in a pinch for a free place for the night
