Howard Johnson by Wyndham Traverse City

My wife like this more than me, which is unusual. The room had some kind of red sticky substance on the doorway between the room and hot tub. One of the handles on the hot tub was loose and the TV was impossible to use from the guide or by channel number, I had to scroll through channels up and down. also the outside stairs to get to the second floor we're sketchy. Other than the little things it was adequate for staying at for a few days and the location was convenient.

I cannot tell you how much this hotel saved us today from not having to get a room somewhere else and lose my money through Priceline. I won’t say how because I don’t want other people asking but they accommodated us due to either Priceline’s misrepresentation or my quick booking. This was so kind of them while I am moving and already stressed. I can’t say other places would do the same. After arriving, the lady at the desk was so nice. Rooms are okay but they are fine for the price. My husband and I like it cold and the air worked great. Shower was nice with good pressure.

Had to book a room here last minute for an after midnight arrival, the front desk was super nice and the room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Nice amenities in the bathroom and great little breakfast setup. May not be one of the newer hotels on the street but for the price and service you can’t beat it.

Clean, spacious, free basic breakfast, friendly staff, pillows weren’t my favorite but I slept just fine. The value of this place can’t be beat! Will stay again. Thank you!

My husband and I recently stayed here for 1 night and had a mixed experience. The staff was very friendly which made check-in easy. The room was pretty clean, but it could have been better. The carpet in the room felt a bit dirty, so I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids who might be on the floor a lot. However, for a short stay for adults, it was fine. One thing was not expecting was how good the morning coffee from the lobby was (probably the best hotel coffee I’ve ever had lol). The bed in the room was semi-comfortable but had noticeable body indents. Another downside was the outdoor carpet in the second floor, it had a very strong smell, likely due to never fully drying put after getting wet. Overall, it’s an okay option for a quick trip if you’re traveling without kids.
