We camped in our 31 foot tow behind for a full week in this RV Resort just out of Durango camp. Location was very convenient, campsite was very clean, except for previous campers' dog excrement left behind when we first arrived. Staff was excellent and very helpful. I actually called and added two extra days to the beginning of our stay before before we arrived. And they were very helpful to arrange that. We were even allowed to have an Amazon package delivery left in the office, which was a camper part we had to order while on the road. We found ourselves getting back to camp well after the office had closed daily during our stay, and the day the Amazon delivery arrived, again we returned after office hours and staff had graciously left the package on our camper steps. Because our site was rather secluded, there was no risk of theft and their personal delivery was greatly appreciated. If we have to complain, it is only because the water and sewer full hook up was shut off the Monday morning after our arrival, due to seasonal change and campground prep for incoming freezing weather. So we had to forfeit full-hook up for 4 days and nights, but it really wasn't a problem. Except for the rather tight maneuvers we had to do to get the camper facing the right direction for the dump station. This campground, while very quiet and well maintained, can be a longer vehicle combo towing challenge with tight turns and trees in somewhat hindering locations on the path. Overall, we would stay there again, should we find ourselves in the Durango area again. Thank you HTR Durango!!

We spent a week here with friends. No buddy site but we were next to each other. In a 30 ft travel trailer and Ford F350. Hook-ups were in good repair. But spot was tight squeezing in the truck with the trailer. Some sites have a nice deck along the creek. All sites seemed to have picnic table. Only gas fires allowed and there is a common area with gas fire. Also other common areas were present. There were lots of trees and shade. Also lots of places to walk and to walk the dogs. But there was no access to the creek. No place to go fishing. The laundry room was nice enough. Did not use the public bathrooms or showers. They did pick up the propane tank, fill it, and deliver it back to the site with a text to let you know it was done. Price of propane fill was very reasonable. Nice dog park. Quiet location. Durango is close and is a large town. We rode the Durango-Silverton train while we were there. We camped at HTR Durango Campground in a Travel Trailer.

HTR Durango has been a wonderful experience and I will recommend it to anyone that wants to visit the Durango area. I stayed in a rustic cabin with my dog and we slept so peacefully. There is no place to stay in Durango that offers these kinds of views for the price. The shared bathhouse was immaculate. My dog made a friend at the dog park and my camp neighbors were so nice. And, finally, the staff was informative, helpful and kind. Stay here!! It is awesome!

Wonderful campground. 3 families had beautiful tent sites near the creek and my husband and I were in Aspen Lodge. Between the creek, bb hoop, playground and heated pool the 6 kids were completely entertained. The rustic cabin was very well equipped and the master bed was very comfortable. The fenced yard fronting our cabin corralled kids and dogs. The staff was kind, helpful and the best. Special thanks to Teresa. The entire place is really well maintained in a beautiful location. They have balls and pool toys readily available. A scavenger hunt for kids when complete can be turned in for a popsicle. For a very reasonable price we rented a propane fire pit that was perfect touch for the evening and worked for smores. Durango is a great family town. Wonderful hiking and parks. The City Rec Center has a fabulous play pool that entertained all ages.

Stayed here in an RV site 2 nights July 2024. Cute little campground. Clean bathhouses, nice little playground and pool, adorable creek. Sites were nice with a concrete pad and enough space between neighbors. Good location, we did Mesa Verde NP one day and rode the train the second day. Best part was the SERVICE! We arrived 2 hours before check in hoping to drop off the camper and head to Mesa Verde for our tour. We did call in advance, but the people leaving our site needed a late check out so were still there when we arrived. Vipul, Jessica, and the grounds lady (didn’t see name) went above and beyond to find an empty site that we could park the camper at in order to make our tour. They were very accommodating and super nice about the whole situation. 5 star service! We would definitely return here to camp.
