Ideal for a relaxing getaway. The campground was beautiful, the staff very accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed walking around the island and out of the RV area. Our only complaint is the sites are too close. We thoroughly enjoyed ataying and will be back, opting for a site closer to the bridge! We had such a wonderful time during our stay. The tent areas are gorgeous and the staff is very friendly but the RV sites are more akin to a truck stop. 'Macho Boys' were allowed to let their pickups idle for over 30 minutes starting at 5:30 am. In addition to waking us up, their exhaust permeated the otherwise fresh Saturday air.
GoodSam discount was not applied supposedly because was not entered in the website booking which it’s a bummer because looks like during the process they’re trying to hide where to put the code that of course you need to know and they do not provide you with that. Totally a bad practice from the campground. Location is great, great trails in the island with tons of wildlife. In general overrated for the price you pay not a resort feeling it’s all gravel no concrete paths, bumpy roads and dust because of that, no grass just natural grass between gravel more like a regular campground.
Great experience! Bathrooms were the nicest most comfortable bathrooms I have ever used in an RV park. The staff was friendly without being intrusive. The pool was gorgeously maintained. Beautiful country and we had a lovely relaxing stay. Definitely recommend trying it!
