Huckleberry Campground Introduce
Welcome to Huckleberry Campground, a charming destination within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, located in Council, ID 83612. This campground offers a peaceful environment with convenient access to a creek and nearby recreational activities.
Visitors have described Huckleberry Campground as a "Great quiet campground" and a "Great little camping area." The sites are noted to be spaced out, providing a sense of privacy. One of the appealing features is the creek that runs adjacent to the campground, with easy access through openings in the fence. Guests enjoyed putting their feet in the "very cold" water, offering a refreshing experience, especially as the day warmed up into the 90s.
The campground provides essential amenities, including a "Clean bathroom" and a water pump for drinking water. However, it's important to note that no garbage cans were observed, so a "pack it out" policy is likely in effect. The cost was reported to be "$10 bucks a night" for access to water and the clean bathroom, suggesting an affordable camping option.
Huckleberry Campground is highlighted as being "perfect for smaller trailers and tents." For those interested in off-road adventures, there are "Lots of ATV trails" in the area. Additionally, visitors should be aware of the presence of "black bear in the area" and take necessary precautions for food storage and safety.
One minor inconvenience reported was a "kinda tight" circle at the end of the campground with rocks outlining the turnaround that were "hard to see in the tall grass," which received a 3-star rating due to this issue. However, the overall positive feedback, particularly the creek access (especially for site 6 which is right next to it), clean facilities, and quiet atmosphere, makes Huckleberry Campground a place many would "definitely come here again."
If you are a local user seeking a quiet and affordable camping experience near Council with creek access and opportunities for ATV riding, Huckleberry Campground is worth considering. Remember to be mindful of wildlife and pack out all your trash.

Clean bathroom, A pump for drinking water, sites are not very close to each other. You can get to the creek through openings in the fence, it was nice to put our feet in, the water was very cold. It got into the 90's later in the day. The circle at the end was kinda tight, there are rocks outlining the turnaround, that are hard to see in the tall grass. The creek runs right behind site 6 which was great. I gave it 3 stars because of the rocks. This campground is perfect for smaller trailers and tents. Lots of ATV trails. And black bear in the area. I didn't see and garbage cans, so pack it out. We would definitely come here again. 10 bucks a night, for water and a clean bathroom. Great quiet campground.
Great little camping area. The creek runs right next to the campground and a lot to do close by.
Very nice little campground, very clean restroom
