Very peaceful campground with plenty of downed trees to clear and make firewood into. Take your 🪓 ...ps it has a clean restroom please keep it that way. The caretaker "Forest Ranger" is a real nice person too.
I usually go to this campground a few times a year. I randomly stumbled upon the campground a few years ago while exploring around Lake Pend Oreille. The campground has an out house type restroom. And 3 separate spots. It is free to camp at and has a limit of 14 days. You have to take a dirt road up to the campground and most cars can easily make it up to the campground. You will be driving up the dirt road for about 6-7 miles before reaching the camping spot. Trestle creeks runs down the mountain next to the campground. There are usually open spots and I have only ever seen the campground full during Labor day weekend.
Great spot, off the highway about 6 miles, so nice and quiet
Alot of shade...coved in cedar!
