Very quiet spot for camp. This place has a very amazing views of the hills. The route up there is good for any full size 4x4 but be careful hitting the blue trails. Gets kinda tricky. It’s a one car trail so make sure to make way or give way to oncoming traffic. Depending on the season, they permit propane fire pits. There is a regular fire pit but please don’t use this for firewood or charcoal, as it can be a huge fire disaster. I ended up putting my fire can inside the pit & it was just fine. You will always want to consult with the Rangers when you visit. I slept in the 4Runner and in the middle of the night deer were chillin around the vehicle. It was pretty chilly. The next day the park rangers came to check the spot. They said I was the first one there since Covid and that the spot wasn’t really cleaned up. But I couldn’t tell. Rest rooms are onsite and there is a cement table and shelter over the area for eating. This spot is for reservations through Hollister SRVA’s site
