Tip for big rigs: the road the KOA is on requires a very sharp turn. It’s doable, but go slow and be prepared. The staff is amazing and friendly. The kids love how much there is to do — the swimming pond, playground, fishing, and more! The office store has your essentials and propane available for refill. My favorite part of the campground is Ruger, the sweetest old senior kitty (who loves belly rubs). 🥹
Every year we look forward to camping, we do a grandmas trip to recoup from having the grandkids so much. Well this year the spot I reserved was gave to another person. My spot I had not picked out was much smaller and tight of a fit. My sister can’t walk very far and they stopped allowing you to drive over to the pond like we did in the past. Said people get stuck in the mud. I’ve never seen anyone stuck or even parked in the mud. They charge extra now to check in a little early if u arrive sooner than expected even if it’s like 20 minutes and that’s another $25 on top of the high price to camp on ur spot, with high grass and dirty areas. Staff is not enforcing the clean after your pets policy and we had to complain until they cleaned after a dog that we didn’t have. This used to be our favorite place to camp. This year young kids are running it and they aren’t doing a good job. I’d definitely try to find something else.
Should not be rated a KOA Holiday! Staff was great, super friendly. Sites were a mess, looks like they haven't been touched in several years. Everything was overgrown, needs new gravel poured and leveled. It rained while we were there and the entire lot was a deep muddy mess. Would not recommend a stay here :(
We stayed one night as we were traveling through with two 46' fifth wheel campers. And, we've never met a sweeter staff! So accommodating and helpful! :) The pull-thru sites aren't paved, but they're definitely big rig friendly. (If you have a tall rig, there are a few low hanging tree limbs on the service road leading to the park, but the park itself is beautifully accessible for large rige.) Thank you, Foxfire Koa! We appreciate you!
This place has a possibility of being a really nice place except no one’s done any work here in probably I’m gonna guess 10 years. The place is overgrown with weeds. Our little fire pit had 7 inches of muddy ash.Everything‘s old, bathrooms toilets don’t flush, shower house smells. Just totally nasty, don’t bother. I’d stay in a parking lot before I stayed at this place again! What a rip off!!
