I love this beach, my first time visiting it was August of 2024. Then again just recently in September of 2024. The weather is wonderful, normally 65 to 80 degrees. The water IS very cold however once adjusted to it, it's simply spectacular. The waves are huge & great for surfers.
Clean beaches with benches and tables. Very nice beach with clean restrooms. Some entrances needed sand dunes to be cleared, but overall, I loved it. They had plenty of volleyball courts.
One of our treasured local beaches, Huntington State Beach. Parking in the summer can be a bear, but usually you can find something somewhere to pay a hefty parking fee and enjoy the long and wide beaches. Be careful as the sand tends to drop to trenches at certain points of tide, so keep an eye on kids. The beach does not allow dogs, but you can run your dog along the bike trail, which is one of my favorite things.
Today was our Mirai Owner Appreciation Event! Thanks Toyota!! Absolutely perfect location and couldn't ask for a better day 😌 How have I never been here before - what a great beach! I see a stay here in my future.
Park your vehicle right up by the boardwalk and steps to the sand. Bring your bicycle. Beach firepits. Opens 5am, closes 10pm. No overnight parking. $15 day pass. Varies for seniors and others. Annual pass $195. Pay as you go in; person in a booth.
