Hutchins Group Campground Introduce
Welcome to Hutchins Group Campground, a hidden gem nestled in the scenic landscapes of California. This campground offers a perfect retreat for nature lovers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts seeking a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. With its spacious sites and proximity to a beautiful lake, Hutchins Group Campground is an ideal destination for camping, RV stays, and group gatherings.
The campground is known for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every guest feels at home. While the sites may have limited shade, they provide ample room for tents, RVs, and outdoor activities. A short 10-15 minute walk will take you to the nearby lake, where you can enjoy fishing, kayaking, or simply soaking in the serene views.
One of the unique aspects of Hutchins Group Campground is its remoteness, offering a true escape from modern distractions. However, it’s important to note that there is no cell service on-site, and the nearest coverage is a 30-minute drive away. Before planning your trip, be sure to check for road closures, as some routes, such as HW 162 towards Bucks Lake, may be inaccessible for extended periods.
Here’s what some of our satisfied customers have to say about their experience:
- "Nice campground with a friendly host. The lack of shade was a minor inconvenience, but the spacious sites made up for it."
- "Loved being walking distance to the lake. It’s a peaceful and quiet place to unwind."
- "No cell service was actually a blessing—it forced us to disconnect and enjoy nature fully."
- "Be sure to check road closures before heading out. We had a long detour due to HW 162 being closed, but the trip was worth it."
Whether you’re planning a family camping trip, a group outing, or a solo adventure, Hutchins Group Campground promises a memorable experience surrounded by California’s natural beauty. Pack your gear, prepare for an off-the-grid adventure, and get ready to create lasting memories at this charming campground.

Nice campground, friendly host. Limited shade on site, but plenty of room. Walking distance to lake, about 10-15min. There's no cell service, have to drive 30min to get some coverage. CHECK ROAD CLOSURES before heading out. HW 162 towards Bucks lake was closed for 2 years, but Google maps and Waze didn't show it and it was a long detour.
