The check in desk lady was nice. The room was very nice. A nice bed with a nice bathroom and shower. Better than Hilton and Marriott. What could have been better is that we could hear noise in the hallway late at night and around 5:30, 5:45am. I came to Hyatt for it to be quieter than Hilton. It turned out to be that it was less quiet and we are on the second floor. There also wasn’t any curtains which was a bad thing because I don’t like being woken up by the light outside.
We had a wonderful stay as a family with two small children. The hotel was clean, and the staff were very welcoming. My kids enjoyed the spacious indoor pool. The small fireplace on the patio was a cozy touch, especially during the winter. The breakfast offered several options, but it could be improved. The bathroom door was little bit annoying while opening but not a big issue.
Stayed here for an extended stay . Place is clean and the people who work there are super nice . Breakfast was good. Indoor pool was clean and nicely heated . Loved the patio with the firepit. Nice gym equipment. Everything was great . I had the suite with the blackout shades and the room was huge with a dining room, kitchen and large living room and a separate bedroom . Jamie and Dana are awesome. Enjoyed the bar at night . Would definitely stay here again
As much as I enjoyed my stay there were a lot of cons that I didn’t enjoy which is why I rated 3 stars. Check in was very easy and it was smooth, everyone was friendly, nice and welcoming. We brought our dog with us to stay, the pet fee was $100 which was completely understandable and reasonable. Breakfast was good, the pool was amazing , and the amenities were very useful(gym, laundry, patio, etc). My partner and I enjoyed it very well that we decided to add on an extra night to our stay. My partner and I stayed in a studio suite so that way our dog would have room for herself and not be cramped , the room was nice and the view was great. However, There were a couple of things that made us dislike our stay…. First things first, I feel like housekeeping at hotels is just non existent anymore, they offer housekeeping here but they do it every other day of your stay which is okay, we stayed for 5 days so we assumed our room would get serviced on the 3rd day , however due to us having a pet in the room we were unable to get serviced which I didn’t know until last minute, had we known we would’ve taken our dog out for the day so the room would’ve been cleaned when we got back. Due to not being serviced, I had to go down and get my own towels and wash cloths and TP which I ended up dropping a couple of things on the way up. So it was all just very much an inconvenience. On top of that, because of not getting serviced our trash cans were overflowing, my partner and I aren’t messy so we kept everything confined to one area when it came to the trash but it was just very nasty to see it sitting there for 5 days. I also feel as if house keeping standards have gone down as well? I mean the high chair at the island looked like it hadn’t been dusted in years , the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner things were actually disgusting, had a lot of grime buildup and black stuff at the bottom , and again just not getting serviced threw things off overall. Also, I really hope that there gets serious regulation around pool times , on the signs on the elevator it states that the pool closes at 10 thus we made sure to be out by 9, headed out to get some dinner and came back and seen people in the pool after 10, not saying anything against that but I think in terms of safety and property rules , guests should abide by them. Overall I have a very much love/hate with my stay, again we stayed an extra night despite all of this, would I come again? Of course, the hotel was lovely, I just hope to get a little more information during check in about pet protocol, and the cleanliness standards go up.
My recent stay at Hyatt House Lewes / Rehoboth Beach from August 24th to August 25th, 2024, was incredibly disappointing. From the outset, the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. We found a cookie left on the floor, and most alarmingly, a bug on one of the pillows, which raised serious concerns about the room’s sanitation. The major issue of the stay, however, was the excessively noisy air conditioning unit. Positioned right next to the bed, the AC machine ran loudly throughout the night despite our attempts to turn it off using the control panel. This constant noise severely disrupted our sleep and made our stay uncomfortable. Although the staff acknowledged the issue and promised compensation for the night, no one followed up to provide the promised resolution. Given these problems—poor cleanliness, a bug on the pillow, a disruptive noisy AC unit, and unfulfilled promises of compensation—I cannot recommend Hyatt House Lewes / Rehoboth Beach. I hope the management addresses these issues and improves their follow-up procedures for future guests.
