Hyatt House Tallahassee Capitol - University

I have stayed in most hotels around and this one is worth. Cozy and modern with nice amenities. At the time of my stay access was complicated due to construction in the area. Some roads were closed. I left a phone battery pack and cables plug and charging. When I realized (couple hours later) I called. They said "nothing was left behind. This is TYPICAL of many hotels housekeepers...my expectation to have it retuned was low but there is always hope people would do what is right. My bad for not doing a last round check.

This was a decent hotel in Tallahassee for a night. We stayed here for a stop off and the staff was friendly. We got a room and it was 200$ for a night. Remember that the parking is 20$ a night!! It fit the 4 of us well. It was big with Two beds a couch and pull out bed. There was a closet nice bathroom and little kitchen area. Lots of the reviews complain about noise but the only thing we heard was some loud cars around 9:00 or so. Other then that it was quiet and we slept well. The ac works wonders. The shower had no water pressure. The hotel breakfest was free and very good for a a hotel breakfest. They had fresh berries, breads, sausages, eggs, grits, yogurt, and more. Overall nice hotel.

Honestly, I don’t make bad reviews, but I am because their breakfast is over at 10 o’clock. I came down here 20 minutes before then and the lady had already started putting everything up. I had to keep asking her to go in the back and get me a plate or everything else I needed just to make a plate of food. Really frustrating that the sausage 10 minutes before 10 so don’t know there’s no sausage and not even two minutes later someone took the rest of the eggs so it’s like OK you just don’t get to eat today. So if I pay for a room that comes with breakfast because I paid for it, I should absolutely be able to get that and I should absolutely not put everything away 20 minutes early.

This is my go-to hotel stay in Tallahassee, I stayed here once and never looked anywhere else. It is clean, quiet, in a safe area, and close to everything that I need. All of the amenities I've used have been great as well.

The hotel certainly felt new, and the room was comfortable. The parking lot right by the hotel was small, but we were permitted to park in an overflow lot across the street and at the vintage clothing store next door as long as we displayed a parking pass. Thankfully, we were able to find parking in those lots, but the hotel is in the arts district and also by Florida A&M University, so it’s possible those lots could fill up at times.
