Hyatt Place Garden City

Only stayed one night for a short business trip but the room was super nice. Not extravagant but well designed, very large, and pretty. It's especially nice to stay at a hotel that could easily be a nice studio apartment when you're in a new environment. Definitely added an extra comfort factor to my trip. Also, I missed the breakfast they served but it looked very good. The lobby has a coffee shop-like dining area and it looks like they serve a pretty hearty breakfast.

The room was pretty small, and the bathroom was even smaller with a very low tub. Sofa bed was visibly ripped and sewn back together. Asked for extra pillows, none was available, and had to pay for parking too!

Life saver....After a less than acceptable stay at another area hotel this place stepped in and saved our vacation. When we checked in the heat wasn't working at full capacity, and this was late at night, but the young lady at the front desk went above and beyond to try to fix our room and eventually switched us to a new room. What a breath of fresh air. Customer service with a smile. I didn't feel well at the time so it helped to have someone that didn't make it feel like we were an inconvenience but she was doing her job. Rooms were clean. A little wear and tear but nothing crazy. Free breakfast in the morning was nice, and the employees kept the food fresh and the breakfast area clean and well maintained. Parking isn't the friendliest but otherwise this place was great. I would definitely stay here again.

For a luxury hotel you need to upgrade your quality of 1 ply toilet paper. You have lovely plush towels and comfortable beds and you cheapen the room by using toilet paper that is the quality used in public washrooms. The breakfast is satisfactory but the food is not warm at all. Better warming lights or dishes are required.

I’ve been traveling to GC for the last 2 months for work and have stayed in different hotels each time. Hyatt Place has been the best out of the three I’ve stayed in! Super nice front desk employees, great variety of FREE breakfast food, comfy beds and spacious rooms, close to lots of different things. I love the fact that I can cast from my phone to the tv to watching different streaming services. This will def be my choice from now on when I travel to GC!
