It was all so good. Super clean, great location for everything. We could walk to tons of restaurants, activities, art, and museums. Good work out room, no ce breakfast, comfy beds. Friendly staff across the board. Can’t remember the last time I said all those things. Thought: parking is free on the streets on the weekend, so consider skipping the pricey parking garage.

A very good hotel downtown Grand Rapids with a first class service. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The swimming pool is a bit small. We were very surprised and pleased by the huge breakfast buffet. It was extraordinary good. The parking house fee is too expensive ($ 38 a day).

Nice hotel downtown GR, get the city view room and high floor. Good size of the room, lots of options from restaurants to pubs around, or at the hotel. Lovely sunset view over the river. Finally Hyatt took a step and replaced all plastic cutlery in dinning room, hope was done in all network. Breakfast is complimentary, there is a small pool and gym. Digital check in and key working ok, just as u need a key for front door best to get a card as back-up. Staff are always nice, definitely my go to hotel when in the area.

Had a great stay at this location last week. I forgot my charger at home, they had one for me to borrow. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great too! I’ll be staying here again

The shuttle to the airport was not set up like it was supposed to. The staff told us they would call us tomorrow to let us know the time. We informed her that we don't usually answer our hotel phone and I reiterated that I didn't want to be woken up by a phone call. To which she replied she wasn't going to call early. But how does she know when I wake up and what I consider to be early? The point is, stop arguing with me. The simple solution would have been for me to call the front desk for the information when I wake up. When another staff member handed out water to my group, I was the only one she didn't give any water to. When I pointed that out, instead of acknowledging the oversight, she made the excuse that she was off the clock and merely helping out, which completely missed the point I was trying to make. Then there is my pet peeve: key card to access the elevator to my room. It only provides the illusion of safety and is extremely inconvenient. Management, I don't need an argument about this either. I've been to over a thousand hotels and believe me when I say if someone wants to get to your room, they can regardless of key cards. If I want to have guests in my room, they have to jump through hoops to get to me. I'm not going to go to the front desk to escort them up. We're not in high school. You also need the key card to access the ice machine because I'm sure there are a lot of people coming off the streets to steal ice. This place is utterly comical if it wasn't so absurd. Soundproofing is also poor so, depending on the rooms, you can hear traffic and neighbors. The sink is too far from the mirror. For those who are nearsighted, I had to shave in the hallway mirror. One more thing: the phone didn't work. What a lame property to carry the usually reliable Hyatt name. And spare me the corporate platitudes. I've heard them all. Never coming back unless work forces me too.
