Hyatt Place Mount Pleasant Towne Centre

I am giving this a 3 star on rooms because every time I went to take a shower the water was luke warm and never was hot. They had a outstanding breakfast and outstanding staff like Mrs Lisa working the front desk. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping was there when you needed them for all your needs.

Traveling with a toddler is never easy but the wonderful man working concierge (JOE) really make the stay a lot smoother. Our flight arrived very late, by the time we got to the hotel it was well after 10pm. We called ahead to make sure there was a pack a play for the room, and he made sure it was set up and ready to go before we even checked in! Halfway through the trip our daughter caught a stomach bug- needless to say Joe was ready with clean sheets extra towels and even a complimentary laundry detergent pack so we could wash all of clothes. Every-time we needed something Joe personally delivered it to our room, Joe made the experience easier. Also can’t forget to mention John who ran the breakfast station, he was always smiling ready with great stories to tell!!! 10/10 would stay here again, everything you need is within walking distance of the hotel !

Lovely check-in with a super friendly and cheerful employee, but all the other encounters we had with the front desk were subpar. This lady hardly looked up from her laptop and clearly really didn't want to be there. Go find another job if you don't like your current one. The room was clean and reasonable in size, but I do feel kind of ripped off paying extra for a so called room with a view on the top floor. It literally looked over the top level of the parking garage and all the way in the distance you could see some greenery. That top level was also used for nightly car drifting a couple of times... Luckily the police patrolled the garage often so it was shut down pretty quickly. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Almost no healthy options and horrible coffee. But the most annoying part was the guy working the breakfast room: constantly trying to engage in (lengthy!) small talk with everybody in the room. Please learn to read your audience better, not everybody likes lots of talking early in the morning. The location is perfect, right in the middle of a cute town centre with lots of shops and restaurants close by. Ample parking in the adjacent garage. All in all a bit too expensive for the quality.

It was great. The robot for room service was fascinating. Breakfast was adequate. This Hyatt is in a good location within an upscale outdoor shopping area with plenty of restaurants available. My only difficulty was with the three- wheeled luggage carts. Awkward to maneuver and didn't hold very much.

Wonderful experience, so centrally located and close to everything. Don't have your expectations too high for the breakfast, but it was on of the better continental breakfasts I've had. The robot that brings towels is also very unique. Overall, great long weekend get away.
