Hyatt Place Salt Lake City/Farmington/Station Park

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this location. I strongly advise against using the swimming pool. Last Friday, my son and I stayed there for one night and decided to take a dip in the pool and hot tub. To my shock, the tiles surrounding the pool were incredibly dirty. As both of us are sensitive to our environment due to allergies, I was particularly alarmed. The grime on the tiles was so severe that I initially thought it might be black mold. Our allergies were triggered, making it difficult for us to fall and stay asleep, likely due to the pool or possibly the cleanliness of our room, which was also not up to standard. On the day we checked out, I mentioned these concerns to the front desk staff, who assured me she would inform the manager. Today, I followed up with a call and spoke to someone, whom I believe was the manager. He claimed there is no mold in the pool because of the chlorine and insisted that their pool passes inspection regularly. However, I find it hard to believe that could be true when it's so evident that those tiles require a thorough cleaning. It's concerning that a hotel rated three stars can overlook such a significant issue...especially considering how much they charge for a one night stay!

Great location for the hotel, located right in the mall with our favorite restaurants and stores conveniently right outside the front doors. The room was spotless and comfortable. The service was welcoming and were able to help us plan our day!

Our stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare, and I would strongly advise anyone considering it to think twice. Upon checking in, we immediately encountered an issue: the toilet was clogged from the previous guest. To make matters worse, the room phone was broken, so we couldn’t even call the front desk. After multiple attempts on my cell phone with no answer, we eventually had to go down in person and ask for the problem to be fixed while we were out for dinner. Shockingly, when we returned around 11pm, nothing had been done. My husband went down to the front desk again and was told that both housekeeping and maintenance were gone for the night, leaving us with no solution. We were told there were no other rooms available and, unbelievably, we were handed a plunger and told to fix the toilet ourselves. For a hotel charging over $400 per night, this level of service is absolutely unacceptable. We were forced to plunge a toilet that we didn’t even clog—an incredibly humiliating experience. The room itself was just as awful. The comforter was lumpy and filthy, the couch was covered in stains, and the USB outlets didn’t even work. As if that weren’t enough, the TV offered only a handful of channels, with no streaming options—certainly not what one expects from a hotel at this price point. To say this stay was a disappointment is an understatement. For $400+ a night, I expected a comfortable, functional room and at least basic customer service. What we got instead was an appalling lack of care and an experience that we will never forget—for all the wrong reasons. Since we have left we have had 0 response from the General Manger, except a very brief email apologizing for the experience. I left this same review on trip advisor and the Owner of the property responded saying, “the situation has 2 versions.” So not only are they not taking accountability- they are basically saying we are lying even though we have pictures to prove the situation!

Good location in Farmington around food and shops. The free breakfast was great! As a wheelchair user, I didnt enjoy multiple elevators to get to my room. The rooms were OK, but were not as nice as I thought they would be. One of the days of our stay, our room didn't get cleaned, so I had to hunt down clean towels before bed time.

Stayed a few nights, great location, clean well maintained property. The nearby shops and restaurants were great to have. Hotel breakfast was nice and well maintained. If you want to buy an espresso based drink from the rectangular shaped counter with stools in the lobby, that is totally not a "BAR", give yourself some extra time, they were a little slow. Would absolutely stay again.
