I-10 Kampground Introduce
I-10 Kampground is a budget-friendly accommodation option located at 6430 Theodore Dawes Rd, Theodore, AL 36582. This campground provides essential amenities for travelers and campers, including large concrete pads for parking and basic facilities. While it caters primarily to workers and those seeking low-cost accommodations, the location near a busy road can be a disadvantage for some guests.
The Kampground features a bathhouse, which is occasionally open, but its inconsistent availability has been a point of contention among guests. The facility's management has faced criticism for poor communication regarding maintenance issues, such as water outages and sewer line problems. Additionally, the property's lack of regular lawn care and trash removal has led to a messy environment.
I-10 Kampground operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Sundays are closed for business. While the campground offers a gym membership as an alternative shower option due to the bathhouse's limited availability, this service is not always well-received by guests.

Customer feedback highlights several concerns. Many guests have noted the inconvenience of sewer line placement, which requires multiple hoses to reach the pipe due to improper installation. Additionally, water outages without prior notice have caused significant disruptions for some visitors. The staff has also been criticized for unresponsiveness and rudeness when addressing these issues.
Despite its shortcomings, I-10 Kampground remains an option for those on a tight budget seeking temporary accommodations in the Theodore area. Potential guests are encouraged to contact directly via phone at 1 251-653-9816 for the most up-to-date information and to be aware of ongoing maintenance issues.

Customer Reviews
While the few large concrete pads in front are enticing, a walk around the park you realize this is mostly intended for workers and as homes for people on a budget. Someone made a mistake when running sewer lines before pouring those beautiful concrete pads: the lines are forward on the pads instead of towards the rear like most trailer valve are. It took three lengths of sewer hose to reach the pipe AND the whole thing is on a slope resulting in a very poor degree of angle. I had to carefully detach and lift the hose myself to clear the sludge. These concrete pads are at the front of the park and therefore near the road which remains busy till the early hours.
Don’t stay here. My husband and I chose to stay here because they have a bathhouse, however it is rarely open. It’s a gamble each day of whether they will open it or not. Having no other choice, we signed up for a gym membership just to have access to a shower. We asked the person in the office if we could have our rent lowered by the cost of the gym membership ($25) and were refused. Despite the fact that they recently went up on rent by $50, and no improvements to the property have been made. They do not keep the lawns cut or weed-eated. There is trash all around the edges of the property. Most of the spots are uneven and need new gravel placed. The office staff are often rude when asked about things, and seem to never have answers (I.e. when asking about the bathhouse or lawn maintenance). For 3 days in a row without warning our water was cut off all day. When my husband called the office to ask what was going on, the woman on the phone simply said, “Well they’re working on your row’s water line. Didn’t you see them?” We were not notified initially that they would be working on it, or for how long. We were all notified about the price increase on rent though. Most of the time there is an “Out of Order” sign on the bathhouse, and there are also a lot of the showers and toilets Out of Order as well. Often there is no sign at all, but the door is still locked, and no one is in the office either. All around this is a greedy business that refuses to fix issues, or properly notify their renters.
Great location! Pool is always clean and nice not a big pool but never have to worry about it not being cleaned. It’s super quiet all the time haven’t had any complaints or problems at all. Office staff is very friendly and helpful!! The hookups even come with a cable hookup that’s free. Bathhouse is always clean and the laundry room always looks clean for the amount of people here. Overall it’s a really nice setup and place to stay!!
Easy to get to. Pad a bit small. It met our needs. The man that booked us on the phonel was friendly and helpful.
Disappointed. Bathrooms in long-term out of order. Dogs running around off leash with no owner in sight. And SLOW wifi.
Convenient to pull in to stay for the night. Don't think about using the Norestrooms or laundry. They're horrible! The days we were here they were never cleaned. I went in to take some pictures and had to hold my nose. It would gag a maget. Where can I post these pictures! Be ashamed! Corporate office pay attention! Worst restrooms I've EVER seen in an RV park!
Stayed one night. Arrived late and left early. Staff member I spoke with was helpful and accommodating. Quiet park.
