Indian Acres of Chesapeake Bay Introduce

Welcome to Indian Acres of Chesapeake Bay, a local destination in the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, located at 645 Knight Island Rd, Earleville, MD 21919. For local users seeking a fun-filled getaway near the Chesapeake Bay, Indian Acres offers a variety of amenities and activities for both kids and adults.

The environment at Indian Acres appears to be centered around waterfront access, with good fishing reported at the T-dock and some of the ponds. The presence of "lots of open areas to gather with friends and family" suggests a spacious setting conducive to group activities and socializing. While one long-term visitor mentioned living somewhat "off grid" with cable being a long-promised amenity, the overall appeal seems to lie in the recreational offerings.

Indian Acres boasts several features designed for entertainment and convenience. Families will appreciate the two swimming pools with slides, providing a refreshing way to spend the day. The CampStore is highlighted for its delicious and reasonably priced food, offering a convenient dining option. For indoor fun, there is a game room available. On occasional weekends, guests can enjoy entertainment at the covered pavilion, featuring bands and DJs.

While the majority of the feedback points to a positive experience, potential visitors should be aware of a few concerns raised by a long-term "funstead" owner. These include perceived issues with the accessibility of the management team, rules changing without much notice (outside of COVID-19 related restrictions), and the lack of an on-site pumping company. However, another reviewer simply stated that it's a great place for kids and adults to have a good time, specifically mentioning night fishing and daytime pool visits.

Overall, Indian Acres of Chesapeake Bay seems to offer a vibrant and amenity-rich environment for local users looking for a campground experience with a focus on recreation and family fun near the Chesapeake Bay. We have been 'funstead' owners since 2007. We spend most weekends here enjoying life ' off grid' (we have been getting cable 'next year' since day 1). Good fishing at the Tdock and some of the ponds, 2 pools with slides, CampStore (delicious, reasonably priced food) game room, covered pavilion for occasional weekend bands & djs and lots of open areas to gather with friends and family. Some negatives are: inaccessible mgmt team, rules changing on a whim with little to no notice (outside of Covid restrictions), lack of an onsite pumping company.

It's a great place for the kids and adults to have a good time. We went fishing at night and hung out by the pool during the day.

My wife and I recently purchased a lot in Glen 4, and we are so excited! My wife's family has owned places in Indian Acres her whole life, and we've always had a great time down there. We couldn't be happier that our 10 month old daughter will get to spend all her summers here.

My step daughters Father weekends there with his GF and kids. We visited and it was like camping in a clean State Park campground. Private lots or not, %95 are kept tidy w fire pits and clean lots. I understand the park discourages "year rounders" w some new laws. That is BS. Retired folk or rounders should be grand fathered in when any such "rule" is passed. No politics, great pool. Large and clean w plenty of deck space. No ridiculous list of do's & dont's; "No Glass"..Perfect....Bottom needs resurfaced smooth but wont prevent you from swimming in clear, clean water on a steamy, hot day. The deep end is 12' at the diving well which is a welcome plus. Lifeguards are attentive and on point. Meaning, safe for kids. Beach big enough for fun and a boat ramp round off a perfect family camp ground. Lake shimmers w the sun and is cool and inviting as it should be. Land has open meadows w mild rolling hills and cut ridges. Off the beaten trails the lush forest beds mingle pine w a variety of indigenous leaves. Just a short walk and you are alone w nature. The sweet smells of earthy woods, the absence of talk, music, traffic let your mind unwind. "Let the sparkling tendrils of sun light warm your face, gazing up through the summer canopy; as the soft crunch of wooded foliage tickle your feet." T.S. This is an old school campground where preserving land and forest was more important than making maximum profit. Keep it that way. Guard gate serious with out being over whelming. You own or have a pass or turn around, perfect. As I would want it w kids and open vacation homes all over. *Over all, great experience. Open pit fire, good food, good people; so why change laws on residency? **It detracts from the happy, serene, Serenity that the Native American Indian forefathers no doubt enjoyed.lo llo

Open year round. Big pool. Bath houses could be cleaned more! The Boat ramp gets shallow.
