Customer Reviews
Camp host Matt was super friendly and helpful. Beautiful scenery, wildlife and trails. Bathrooms and campgrounds were immaculate.
I love this place. They have 2 separate camp sites, one for pedestrian campers and one for equestrian campers. I'll write a separate review for equestrian facilities. As far as pedestrian camping goes, there are two loops. Site 6 is ADA accessible. Site 5 is the largest if the sites, site 7 is also large with a long driveway, perfect for small group camping (max of 8 ppl) with room for 2 vehicles to park (1 with a pop-up) and room for 2 or 3 tents. Sites 5 & 7 both allow for space to set your tents away from the dining area. The host, Beth, is AMAZING! There is 1 vault toilet in each loop, both were very clean and did not smell awful. Camping is $22/night with a drop box at the entrance for easy payment, but it is first come first serve. Check in is at 2 and check out is at 12. Several trail heads lead to a variety of gorgeous trails. Some steeper, uphill, rocky and exposed while others are more shaded with lots of lovely ground cover and wildlife. There is also a road that is perfect for bikes and wheelchairs that leads up to a look-out point and if you have the stamina for it, you can take the trails to a pond/lake. Bears, deer, elk, rabbits, snakes, and a plethora of birds live in the area and are always a joy to see in the wee hours of the morning when it's quiet.
Camp host Jerry was friendly & helpful. Other campers seem to behave being mostly quiet. Water-dumpster-vaulted toilets and clean. Day use hiking-biking-horse back riding trails. Parking limited in campsites. 2018 fees $22 per night & $7 per additional vehicles. Access passes honored.
Beautiful! I enjoyed my lovely tent site, would stay here again! Sweet deer walking around, thank you for not hunting our beautiful friends, & keeping our environment safe & bullet free for people, children, & pets XO. Wonderful, peaceful woods atmosphere!
