Nice cabins, clean and roomy. Heater can't keep up when cold, noisy! They were dredging when we were there and that made some noise too. The sunsets are SPECTACULAR from the cabins.

Visited the weekend of the Labor Day holiday. We booked it maybe 2 months out. Think there was a last-minute cancelation, and we were lucky. We stayed in cottage 2. There was no direct view of the water, just a bunch of trees. There was a path down to the water right outside, and if you sat in the screen porch, you could look out into the water. We had stayed in these cottages twice before, and this was 3rd time. I'm pretty sure they used to provide linens, but I guess since covid, this isn't something they any longer. The website was not very clear on linens, but that meant pillows and blankets too, not just sheets and pillow cases. We went out to Walmart to pic up the stuff we missed. The cabins were nice as usual. Relatively clean. There was a nice fireplace and large bathroom although there was only one. The bedrooms were roomy. The screened porch was not screened from below, so there were still bugs inside. The kitchen was well equipped and had a unique oven. There is no garbage disposal, so be careful not to clog the sink. There is a hose and closet outside the front door that you can use to hose off sandy beach stuff. Apparently, I neighbors had no idea until they saw us use it. The night staff person seemed pretty oblivious about everything from what my sister told me. I did have to go into office one of the days to let them know our bathroom shower light was not working. They sent someone pretty quick to get it fixed. It is annoying that they block the driveway up to the cottages periodically. We know there is no parking as it's a fire lane, but it's easy to drop stuff off and pick stuff up. Luckily, our cottage was pretty close to the lot. Overflow parking is in the marina if there are no spots in the parking lot. There is 1 assigned spot per cottage and 6 overflow spots. You rarely ever saw those spots empty. Staying at the cottages gives you unlimited access to the beach parking lot with your parking pass, which is nice. It's easily walkable to the beach, but when it's 90+F out, driving is just easier. The annoying thing was the number of people disobeying the traffic laws in the parking lot. I witnessed multiple people driving into the parking lot from the one-way exit only. I assume to skip on having to pay the parking/park entry fee. One person also hit us as we were driving out they quickly sped up to cut in driving in the wrong direction. They just politely waved at us. The beach itself at the park was nice. The high tide from the hurricane basically made it impossible to set up chairs and umbrellas. Many people were setting up on the dunes and kids destroying them on purpose. We saw only 1 park ranger the whole time during our visit on ATV. He didn't seem to care. A transformer did blow up, and we lost power for about 7 hrs until they fixed it. We saw it happened and called 911 because it started a small wild fire. Overall, the location is hard to beat and with the amenities. Most of the people I seemed to be annoyed about were people in Delaware tags, not sure if they were locals or not. Don't forget to hike or bike the bridge! We were there and watched the Labor Day fireworks both across the bay, and I'm Bethany at the same time from the bridge!
I guess these cottages are great for young couples with small children. However, we found the furniture to be extremely uncomfortable. Leave plenty of time to clean and sanatize the whole cabin! Not only do you have to vacuum, dust, mop the whole place before you leave, you also have to clean the refrigerator and other appliances or you will be charged a fee.
This place was nice you do have to clean the place yourself top to bottom before you leave. It was nice it sleeps six one bathroom. It does need a few upgrades the bed needs a new mattress. Service I'm confused about cause you have to clean the place yourself. Check out is 10am so we got up at 7am to clean and be ready before 10am. I like the bench in the shower. The stairs to the loft could be a nightmare in the middle of the night if you have to go to the bathroom. We might go back it's reasonable priced. Things I forgot because we were bringing so much I forgot a hand towel for the bathroom, a night light. Roger in the office was very nice.
