The family that runs and owns the campground are by far some of the neatest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The campground is a little ways off the main road but it is very cozy and enjoyable. It was a blessing in disguise finding this amazing place and an added bonus to meet such wonderful and unique people.
Very very nice people, cannot get over how much they helped us out. Gave us a reasonable price, stayed in the area until we closed on our home. Love the vibe and the pool. Men’s bathroom needs work, women’s needs cold water in the sink area. Flooding occurred right down the middle of the incline. It hailed during our stay and that’s did not help the vast flow of water, luckily it stopped! Not sure anything can be done about that fast flow but it’s something to consider fixing. Overall, a good stay.
This was a great campground find! Very reasonable cost. Nice shower house and pool! We loved that we were in the back area where it was nice and quiet with no one around. Chris was a great host and very helpful with information and allowing us to extend our stay twice! Very pretty area to enjoy and hike around. Close to Canon for convenience and other activities!! Wound definitely stay there again!
Great little getaway & close enough to home just in case we forget something! Pool is clear and clean but be warned ITS FREEZING! Today the pool was 72 degrees! Bathrooms have flushable toilets and clean showers. People in the office are friendly. Cash only. Was told they sell ice and firewood but never bought any so not sure how much.
Location is great, near Cañon City to see all the sights. A bit vintage and rustic, cash only, the sites are not level and crammed. Sewer didn't work well to empty out tanks, maybe due to land being uneven. We visited a nearby dump station. Showers are a "mist" and dirty, don't plan on a real shower. Bathroom sinks in the women's bathrooms all broken, 3 of them, except one knob on the right hand sink for hot water. Someone washed their dishes in it and left a spoon. Pool filled with bugs, but refreshing after a hot day so that was nice. Looked for a net to help clean it out. Owners were nice though.
