Beautiful and well maintained campground! The camp host was super lovely and informed, and the vibe of the grounds was very friendly. No easy direct river access but you can take a short walk up the road to Rocky Rest Campground to access the river and wade.
Good fishing. Good size sites and easy access. I would've given it 5 stars but there are no showers available.
Small campground, Great campsites right next to the river, great swimming and and floating!! Watch for snakes! The only down side are the pit toilets.
Love coming here every year. If we can get a spot. If not, we try for Cal Ida campground. Not far from Indian Valley. Love the access to the river and the great over looks throughout out the campground. Most of the spots have natural shade some If not all day, but nothing a tarp, sun shade or canopy won't fix. It is about 1/4 of a mile off of Hwy 49, so the road noise is almost nonexistent.
There are some very nice sites. Some with lots of sun and some with lots of shade. Close to the river. Hot in summer time. Pit toilet.
