Went for a wedding and made a reservation 2 months prior. Spoke to Beth Perreault 2 times about about staying there for the specific weekend. Reserved 5 different cottages. After traveling for 3 hrs with multiple people, found out that the cabins that I had reserved were not available and they had no record of my reservation. Finally worked out to stay at a different cabin but was not compensated for issues. Approaching the cabin found water damaged ceiling with nails over the floor falling out of ceiling. Another party found a dead mouse in their bathroom. Also found no key for the doors to any cabins so all doors needed to stay unlocked while we all left for the wedding. Found that the lady had dementia and the owners son apologized for what had happened. Will not stay here again!

An adorable little cluster of cabins run by an adorable lady. And so affordable! A cabin that sleeps four WITH a kitchen and bathroom is cheaper than any hotel that sleeps four. Plus its location makes it a great homebase for a weekend of exploring.

Stopped here late while passing through. Great little cottages all overlooking the lake. Very simple but very clean, it was a great find along the way. Owner was very accommodating and pet friendly.

I am M'ikmaq and part romani born in the state of mass. i am a member of romani union and applicant of first nations in canada . I liked the cottage but i feel badly that there was a sign using cultural appropriation . the sign was ordered taken down . i think that mikmaq people should be preserving the area . there should be a wabanaki cultural center and a place to learn about mikmaq history
