Customer Reviews
This hotel definitely has its high & low points. Highs -The room had a really handy entry way with a table that made it super convenient to bring my things in and out. -The rooms have 2 doors which is awesome because one opens up to the Central garden & the other opens up to the parking area, where you can park right outside your door. -Room was clean and offers: mini fridge, shower products & towels/washcloths, 2 water bottles & standard coffee/tea set up -Central garden area is beautiful with a pool, a hot tub, and lots of lounging options: chairs, benches, hammocks, swinging egg chairs Lows -2 for 1: My room's doors had significant damage around them and made me feel unsafe as a solo traveler. There are also chain, bolt locks that you must secure in order to completely lock the doors. -At night I was hearing some weird noises every now and then. It was making me feel uneasy and not relaxed, I actually felt the need to kind of be on alert and it took longer than normal to relax and fall asleep. -Upon returning from my first day's outing I was shocked to find I was locked out of my room and neither room key worked. When I went to the front counter she just had to verify my ID again and reissue me some new keys. It's not the biggest inconvenience but it was not advertised at all and I wasn't notified that would happen when I checked in which definitely would've been helpful. -Location isn't necessarily beautiful or anything, you're right off the freeway, but this worked for me as I was using this as a halfway point between the places where I was visiting. -The outlet directly behind my bed was exposed and that made me nervous as that's a fire hazard... right? Idk maybe I'm a Karen 😅 Overall the hotel was fine, I didn't try the breakfast so idk, but I will not be returning the next time I visit the area.
Would have gave the rooms all 5 stars 🫤, but my room was missing quite a few amenities that was listed in the Web site to have available. The large flat screen TV didn't work either. When i called the front desk for help with it, the person working only answered with it " i don't know how to fix that kind of stuff" .... Then said goodnight and hung up. Other than that. I really did like the room decor and the courtyard area was awesome Highly recommend the hammock swings or fire pit hang out areas. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub thats open, but i didn't visit them . I will try this place again though. The price was nice and i feel like they are normally better than the experience i had . They deserve a second chance... When that happens i will update this review....😁
I would have given Marin Inn a four out of five rating if not for the water situation. During our four-day stay, we had to call every day because the water would stop running. This was particularly inconvenient on the day of a wedding when I needed to get ready. Despite this issue, the overall experience at Marin Inn was decent. The housekeeping employees were helpful and accommodating, and the property had a nice yard for our dog. The complimentary intercontinental breakfast was a nice touch, and the location near stores was convenient. However, due to the recurring water problem, I am hesitant to stay at Marin Inn again in the future. The manager was not very helpful.
So disappointed by the service. Made a reservation for my wife and I, one month in advance for a garden view King bed. When we arrived exactly at 3 pm, we were given a double queen in the back of the inn. The desk clerk apologized and stated that they were full. It was insulting and unacceptable. Requested a refund and went to the Marriott Bonvoy up the road. This place is an embarrassment to the Choice brand.
Don’t judge a book by its cover. From the Highway it may look like a typical Motel but the inside courtyard is beautiful and the rooms are decent and very reasonably priced. The service was amazing with all staff eager to provide a great experience.
