We took our first trip to Inn Town in January, we made a 3 day weekend out of it. It’s so quiet, convenient to stores and town. We have a travel trailer and have stayed at a handful of places in Northern CA from Santa Cruz to Tahoe. One thing that separates Inn Town from the rest is the quality of their hookups. No leaky hose hookups and no shoddy electrical. This goes a long way with my husband he doesn’t have to fight a fine spray of water from a bad faucet like he has at other places. The campground is clean and well marked. They have propane available on site for purchase, even rental fire pits. There is a small store and a pool as well. A common kitchen and sitting area, laundry, showers, and flush restrooms are available. Staff are always friendly! We’ve returned a couple more times since January on the long weekends and made 3 night stays. Our friend has rented the yurt, it’s so cool! There are other smaller glamping options as well.

We love the Inn Town Campground! I am a local event planner and often have to find places for groups to stay, whether it's for a wedding or my own family. Inn Town is a really great option because it's relaxing and in nature, while still being accessible to all the cute gold mining towns. I also like that they have so many different options to stay! There is something for everyone, especially at the well-stocked camp store. Would definitely recommend.

This campground is an absolute gem. The location is perfect, the common areas are beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and there is so much pride of ownership. It's magical to camp under the trees and be able to walk to downtown Nevada City. And it's a bonus that the river and the lake are only 20 min away! It's also close to the trails surrounding Deer Creek in Nevada City. I haven't stayed in a glamping tent yet, but I have taken a tour, and they are beautiful and incredibly cozy if you want a bit of an upgrade. And there's a pool!! I will definitely be returning.

In early March this year, my wife and I spent 4 days and 3 nights in our little tent trailer at the Inn Town Campground in Nevada City, CA. A relatively short drive of just over two hours from the SF Bay Area and easy to find. This was our first time there and we were accompanied by a group of friends in three other trailers of different lengths. The setting was beautiful and well forested with plenty of tall trees, nestled in between little hillsides and nothing like the "parking lot sites" so common at other less attractive campgrounds. There were plenty of spacious and level trailer sites in various sizes from back-in to full pull-through, all with electrical, water and sewer hookups. A well-stocked market is also right there at the entrance for any last-minute necessities. A big plus were the very clean, well-lighted and spacious restroom facilities with code-access doors, showers and dish washing stations. Just a few yards from our site and much appreciated! There were also several "Glamping" tent cabins and a very spacious Yurt, any of which would be great for those without trailers or RVs who would prefer not to "rough it". We also noticed several tent and walk-in sites for the more adventurous. There is a heated outdoor pool that was closed for the winter but would be great for the kids in summer. Plenty of things to do nearby too! We took an easy hike of about one mile to downtown Nevada City and could have spent all day there just exploring this very charming and historic little town. My personal favorite nearby attraction was the amazing Nevada County Narrow Guage Railroad Museum that was literally just next door. I am a big steam train buff, and this place hit all the marks. Very informative exhibits, plenty to see and touch, guided tours and yes, real working steam engines! They usually only run in the summer though, but we will definitely be back then for camping and more fun! Don Stone

The most fantastic gem of a campground in the area! So much to explore and such friendly people. I got so lost in exploring these beautiful grounds that I accidentally stayed past closing hours and the owner (Ken) was so kind and friendly when asking me to leave (entirely my fault). I look forward to booking a spot there as soon as the weather warms up!
