Great a little escape from the city for a night and the primitive camping really makes you feel like you're in nature with the mountain being the natural buffer. Definitely give sites t2 and t13 a look for tent camping. They usually sell firewood at the front entrance or the host of the RV park and also help out. I think it would be a good place to go stargazing for any kind of event.

Nice tent only camping area. I do wish the fire pits had a grate over them. It's really hard to have a wood fire in the picnic grills so we end up bringing our own fire grate. There's lots of trails for hiking and biking nearby. This park is always a favorite of ours.

Nice bare bones camp area. Parking is a little ways off from some of the sites so have to carry stuff a bit to setup.

This park has tons of great hiking trails. The campsite is good, with lots of space. They need to provide tent campers with shade! Even in the cooler season its hard to survive outside all day in Arizona without shade. A dish washing station would be nice too.

Late review: We really enjoyed the campground here. The restrooms were close to our site. Not many people were camping, and we got to listen to coyotes after sunset. Many easy trails throughout the area.
