Iroquois campground and RV park is easy to get to and just a short drive off of 87. It is within a short drive of many local attractions like Ausable Chasm, lake Champlain and the Adirondack mountains. It's not far to Lake Placid or Whiteface mountain. The park is clean and fairly quite with decent sized lots. Make sure you inspect you site as many have obstacles like large stumps. Our lot #21 had lots of room but was challenging to set up in because it has a small concrete pad for a small trailer of about 20 feet and large pine stumps to maneuver around and a large pine tree with many roots. The septic service is very high in this lot because of the tree roots so consider this if you have low tank drains. The washing machines were out of service the entire time were there. If you have a reservation and arrive and no one is in the office they will leave your parking pass and paperwork on the board out side. It was an overall good experience with most of the guests we met being friendly. The staff were friendly and easy to work with.
Great location but park needs better grounds keeping. Parking on grass site was not real level at all but I did get the Class A to simi set up straight. The laundry was closed the entire time here almost 2 weeks with no mention on when the issues would be fixed. The entry was not easy with motorhome key pad was set for vehicle height so you had to get out for access but by the time you got back to your rig the gate was already closing so it took 2 people to enter. Guest are very friendly and quiet little to no children but very courteous. Pet friendly but no dog run. Overall due to location it was a value.
We went and visited some friends that camp here a couple of weeks ago, and it's a nice place and very clean and well kept. The pond they have here is absolutely gorgeous. I personally don't mind visiting people here, but I do not think that I would want to camp here. My self, my husband and my son absolutely love camping, but in my opinion, the camping sites are way too close together. There is not really enough room for any family camping to park 2 vehicles on their own lot. If you're sitting around a fire visiting or roasting marshmallows with the kids or whatever you may be doing, there is no privacy. You are so close to your neighbors that they most likely can hear your conversations. There isn't really enough room on your lot to do much. This, of course, is my opinion. I have heard a lot of good things about this campground throughout the years it's just not my idea of a perfect camping weekend/trip.
Me and my family stayed here for a week while we were traveling between New York and Vermont. I will say I loved the location, it had access to a lot of great places to visit, but I have to complain about a few things. First of all, the public bathrooms were so dirty! There were bugs everywhere, one stall in the women’s bathroom was not working, and only dirty bars of soap to wash your hands with, the floor was disgusting!! The showers also barely had light and were filled with bugs, you also had to pay for a few minutes in a dirty shower, which I didn’t do. Then, the cabin we stayed in didn’t seem to be cleaned at all. There were dead bugs, no warm water, the pull out bed would start folding up again if you weren’t laying on it. I can’t believe this! Also the campground was so full that people seemed squished together, no privacy. Also, ant hills EVERYWHERE!! Literally the ground was covered in them! That’s pretty gross. The only positive thing was the location and that everyone else in the campground seemed pretty nice. I did like the laundry room. But overall I don’t think I want to stay here again..
Stayed here for a weekend trip with our dog and kiddo and had a great stay. Grounds were well kept, plenty to do with the kids, dog friendly, and it's a nice large campground with sites that are decently spread out. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The surrounding area is also nice and you have everything within a short distance. We will be visiting again!
