Explore family camping activities that bring all ages together, from outdoor games and scenic hikes to memorable campfire fun that creates lasting memories.
Island Park Campground is nestled at 175 Holston Dr, Bluff City, TN 37618, providing a serene escape surrounded by nature. Open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, the campground offers a quiet and peaceful environment perfect for relaxation.
Located right on the water with access to a private island, visitors can enjoy kayaking, picnics, and fireside gatherings around the fire ring. The two-room bathhouse features concrete floors, which are cooler in fall; guests are advised to bring footwear for comfort during this season.
The campground is a mix of year-round residents and campers, fostering a friendly community. While there's no internet or cable TV, a T-Mobile hotspot can provide connectivity for around $35 monthly.
Customer feedback highlights the campground's charm, with many praising its tranquility and scenic views. Reviewers recommend contacting Ms. Pratt for assistance, noting the wait is worthwhile compared to other local parks.

Owners not on site, but only 5 minutes away and very friendly, just call ahead of time and they will meet you here. Quiet and peaceful, very relaxing. Bit on the expensive side, $200 for 3 nights (autumn) and I'm not even plugged in (I generate my own power). Right on the water with their own private island, complete with kayaks, fire ring and picnic table. 2 room bath house, concrete floors are cold during fall, so bring something to stand on to keep from freezing your feet. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars.
5 stars for location, amenities are matching to location and better than you'd expect, grounds are well kept, people are friendly and quiet as well as it's about 60/40 year round residents to regular campers, so there's very little activity after dark and there has been zero crime in my 9 months of enjoying the views of the river and the bluffs. The only negative thing one could complain about is the lack of internet, cell reception ( AT&T and Verizon ) and cable TV. Get a T-Mobile WIFI hotspot and use internet TV. Problem solved on all fronts for 35 bucks a month. P.S. Good luck trying to get in, but it's worth the wait compared to the other parks / pricing in the tri-cities area. Give Ms. Pratt a call, she's super nice and will respond.
Cute place down by the lake has walk way they have events down there. Just very beautiful place has a little red train. You can have picnics lunch or sit watch the water just lovely!
Small, not a lot of amenities but if you just want a clean, quiet, neat place to camp where you can access the river and lake- this is GREAT
Dont be fooled this is a rv ground and most residents that actually live at the place and the island is a small islamd with no camping on it
