Customer Reviews
Hidden gem is what came to mind after my fiance places a last second search for a campground nearby since plans were canceled last min. Beautiful property, great touch by having a really great size pool with bathroom 10ft away with air-conditioning, plus dog park right next to half court basketball court. Bring your own ball. Renovated bathrooms air-conditioned plus personal showers with hot water. Check it out for your self. Staff was great. Definitely recommend.
One of the nicest campgrounds around. The owners and staff are really nice people and very good about updating you on weather issues. Husband camped there for 9 months while working in the area. Coming home on the weekends, he never had to worry about his camper. Highly recommend this campground if you can get in! They have quite a waiting list so book early!
We found ourselves all packed up and ready to go camping along the James River last Friday morning, only to get a call that the river flooded the camp grounds from the rain we had during the week. We had planned this group trip months ago and were crushed that our weekend camping plans were ruined. I did a quick google search and this was the first place to pop up. I called and was impressed with their rates and amenities. Next thing I know, all 9 of us were headed here for the weekend. We were all pleased with the camp grounds. Our tent sites were right along the water. We were able to fish all weekend. We caught some bass, blue gill, and a frog ( long story) lol The facilities were clean. It was nice to be able to shower in updated shower rooms. The store had your basic needs, including fire wood and ice. The pool was refreshing and fun. The staff was friendly and helpful. . Over all we had a great weekend. We are already talking about returning soon.
I am from Texas and my whole experience so far with IOW has been nothing short of amazing. The owners are friendly and helpful the office staff have been very kind and helpful. The place is beautiful and they are just a big family here. My job brought me here and i had to store my trailer until they got a spot open for me and i had front leg issues with my RV, they never hesitated to help me get my trailer off my truck and then when i got a spot they helped me move it and back in. I believe that goes above and beyond what they had to do. I am grateful that i found this place they are hands down one of the best RV parks i have stayed in. :)
Wife and I travel full time in F450 and 42ft RV 5th wheel. Visited Mid June 2023. This park is REALLY nice and big. VERY spacious sites. Grounds were kept clean and debris free especially close to the wooded area. These are gravel lots but packed down well. Water pressure was adequate. We got 40 PSI at max throttle. Facilities were very clean, dog pens were VERY clean and large for our 2 bostons to rum. Swimming pool was very clean and monitored daily. Has a small kiddie playground Campground speed is 5 MPH. The management takes speeding over 5 MPH very seriously. Don't speed in the campground. Zero campground WiFi. AT&T and Verizon was 4-5 bars for my modems. Quite a few tenants had starlink, not sure of that connectivity speeds. There was a fishing pond and primitive camping areas along it. We were there for 8 days and experienced no bugs. We highly recommend this place, especially for those that want to stay long term. I would recommend that you have your own internet services which for us was a biggie since I work remote full time.
