Beyond camping, the lodge features a dining experience with very good food, contributing to the unique and fun atmosphere. While some visitors find the prices slightly higher, the overall experience is highly rated. The cheeseburgers, in particular, have received praise, though some visitors have noted occasional inconsistencies in size.

The campground also serves as a great base for exploring local trails, and visitors often find opportunities to connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts. The friendly staff, including the "pup host," adds to the welcoming environment.

Here's what some visitors have to say:

  • "We had an awesome time. The camp hosts Fred and Nancy were super friendly. Happy the pup host was too cute. Met some fabulous people to ride the trails with. Site 3 was a nice site close to the very clean restroom/shower house."
  • "The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is unique and fun. The food is VERY good. We've been here several times. It is a little pricey. I've only had one disappointment and that was the last time we were there our cheeseburgers (which are amazing!) seemed to be considerably thinner than previous times. Otherwise, it's a great place to dine and chill."

Jack Pine Lodge and Campground offers a blend of camping, dining, and outdoor activities, making it a great choice for those seeking a unique and enjoyable getaway in the Manistique area.

Great place to camp and ride out on the trails. Weekly sites are pull thru, and have full 50 amp, water and sewer hookup. Nice bathroom / shower/ laundry facilities. Great Wi-Fi. Seasonals are all friendly cool people. Nice fun little bar with great BBQ and other food. This place was perfect for us 👍🏻

First time ever eating here. I have eaten a lot of bar food and I do say that this is the best I have ever had. It is well worth the 20 minute drive . I highly recommend this place .The food is A++ . Very friendly atmosphere. I think I found a new place to eat. Best food around..Don’t forget to go to the basement and get your picture taken with Elijah..😁

The campground itself, love! The WiFi is amazing! The bar…. Ehhh… first time I was there and didn’t get service for over 10 minutes and I sat at the bar. Another time, I called to place a carry out and was on hold for over 10 minutes and nobody came back on the phone. Another time I went to the bar and there were flies EVERYWHERE! I get that we’re in the UP, but ugh, it was so gross! So if you’re coming to camp then double thumbs up, just don’t have high expectations when visiting the bar.

Parm crust Whitefish was excellent. Rustic restaurant well worth the drive. Fish on Wednesdays after 5.
